I thought I'd give you guys some holiday cheer by sharing this link of future Celtic Guershon Yabusele blocking former Celtic Stephon Marbury, or as I like to call it, "Celtics Days of Future Past".

By the way, shout out to YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski. The man is the go-to-guy for Celtics highlights.

Starbury is still playing?  How old is he now?

Marbury is only 39...he's been out of the league so long he seems older...

Can I suggest finding another nickname for Yabusele?  If you wonder why I object to it, google "Dancing Bear", but it's probably not a good idea to do it at work or in front of kids.   ;D

Not only is Starbury playing, he's averaging 21/4/6.

And I haven't watched his highlights, but his "lift" on that play was about equal to mine. Wow. I thought he was going to break his *own* ankles.

More generally I am amused by the list of CBA leaders.

Old friends MarShon Brooks and Lester Hudson are averaging 35ppg and 33ppg, respectively.

Lester Hudson. Think about that for a second.

Shav Randolph is averaging 21 and 12. Good grief.

It's fun reading.

Jimmer Fredette is leading the league in scoring with 39 ppg. That is all.

edit: I lied, I missed Haddadi's 15 rpg. Holy Molly.

Or does the double meaning just make it a more perfect nickname?

Maybe.  I don't really know enough about Yabusele to say for sure.  The nickname could be perfect, I don't know.  ;D

Awesome block, followed by crap defense on the offensive putback lol.

Tbh the CBA league is really bad, it's around on par with the HK league (where I live) minus the foreign players there. China has really stagnated in basketball sonce the Yao era and the basketball culture there is more about streetball nowadays. But [dang] Yabu is still looking good, really hope he can reach his potential

TP Thanks for the first hand account. What players are big over there these days? I know Kobe and Yao were legends and Harden has a pretty good following because of the Rockets connection.

Anyone else big in China/Hong Kong?

Im puzzled how can you question Yabu's competition when Giannis, Gobert and Ginobili played in a league just bad as CBA if not worse.

I know, I was like "how can you think that was the right thing to do???"

Hm in HK there are a ton of guys who fap to Curry, and there are some RW guys. There's of course the big stars like LeBron and KD, but KD has cooled off a bit because of him leaving OKC for GS. I think there are some Jeremy Lin guys because he has chinese blood, but that's pretty much it. I think if you're pushing it the young guys like Leonard, Davis, KAT have some followers but they aren't super popular
