Guy has a history of injuries. Plays 8 minutes. Complains to the media/social media instead of talking to coach/staff. Realizes he's the third option on a bad team.

Play harder in practice instead of complaining about minutes.

I don't think Noel did anything wrong. He is right. He is too good to be only getting 8 minutes.

Then why is he only getting 8 minutes.  Might be that he isn't good.

I think Noel should be on the floor whenever Embiid is not.

The tank has probably been most painful for Noel. First they elongated his ACL recovery, which probably p---ed him off, then in year 2 came the peak of his Philly experience where he got to star for a terrible terrible Philly team. The next year, in year 3 of relentless losing they drafted their third consecutive center and asked him to go play PF next to Okafor, who he clearly doesnt fit well with. Then he gets hurt and flushed from the rotation of maybe the worst team in the league because their 3 most talented guys all play the same position and their the other 2 guys with any talent (Saric and Covington) play the 4.

Noel has been screwed over left and right. Plus you have to remember dude came into the league at 19.

When people questioned Philly's process the big concerns were about winning culture and stuff like that. A lot of people laughed it off, but when you put a couple 19 year olds in a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ty situation with no real veteran leadership you are just begging for a situation like Noels.

Ultimately Philly probably was always willing to accept the colateral damage of wasting a very good prospect if it allowed them to get one or 2 great prospects.

Thats what it looks like is happening as Okafor and Noel have fallen by the wayside, but Simmons and Embiid can only be rivaled by Wiggins/Towns.

This is actually not a bad idea...

That may make Noel a cheap fallback FA option if no other star FA's are available (and I doubt there will be with Hayward and Griffin staying put)

People project he gets a near-max or max.. but if he's on the bench most of the season, will anyone even pay him that much? I highly doubt it, even with the market as inflated as it is...

Noel is not that good and injury prone.  I would not sell the farm for him.  If we sign him next year, I would not open up the bank for him.   Last thing, we need is another offensively challenged player.

I'd only trade for Noel if it were on the cheap.  No way I'm giving up a Brooklyn pick.  His value is at an all-time low and only going to get worse as he will have no playing time to showcase.

Not to mention, Noel will be coming off his rookie deal.  Soooo what would it take?  Noel might be a 1 year rental just to shore up the rebounding issues for now.

First off, I think the 76ers need to know of Embiid is capable of playing 82 games a year, for years to come, and not Noels contract or feelings. I think that should be their main concern. Embiid is by far the most talented center they have.

Next, question is who can play along side of Mr. Embiid. They've obviously decided Noel isn't that guy. And based on the fact that Noel is in a contract year, they need to make a move with him, or just loose him.

IMO it's a matter of time before we see Noel traded to someone. I would like to get a good look at him with our team, see if he fits, and is worth the C's making an offer to, rather than make a blind offer next year.

Noel would help right away, but Danny will wait until the trading deadline or summer.

Not sure why you posted a new thread.....  but there is quotes from the kid saying all the right things.   That he will work on his game..      He got hurt at the wrong time..... hes the 2nd best defender on the team still.
Play harder in practice instead of complaining about minutes.

Who can play alongside Embiid?  Is that even a question?

Didn't they draft that Simmons kid #1 overall to be their franchise 4?

I'm not against trading for Noel, I just don't want to give up a lot for a guy who is about to hit free agency and is getting 0 play time for his team currently.

that opinnion is very much in the majority.

Anyone willing to give up major assets for an expiring guy who has spent the entire season either hurt, complaining, or benched for the foresesable future, baffles me.

What about Giannis/Parker?  I think I'd take them over either of the above named twosomes.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson
