[dang]. RIP!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Seemed like a matter of time, but terrible to hear. One of the great personalities in the game. He'll be missed.

Sad news indeed.

One of my favorite NBA moments was KG talking to Sager in the hall and telling him to go home and burn all his clothes.  Classic.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
I was blessed to have met him. He surely was one of kind. RIP in Heaven Mr. Sager~!!!

Just absolutely horrible news.

Guy was a staple on the NBA on TNT for decades.

I grew up watching him on TV as a sports reporter.

He will dearly be missed. My condolences. Rest in peace.

Popovich was unusually friendly and chatty to the sideline reporter at last night's game. Wonder if he knew this was imminent and it affected his behavior.

Really glad Sager got to do one of the Finals games before he passed. Very classy of Doris Burke + ABC/ESPN to give him the spot.

I'm sorry to hear of it. He was an important part of the NBA landscape.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Stinks. Good natured professional who (understatement alert) never took himself too seriously. Brought a lot of fun and good will to the game. Glad the league has been honoring him and I'm sure that will continue. He deserves it.

Nice video tribute from TNT:

Sad news, but I'm glad it's Thursday, hope to see some extra special tributes from the TNT crew and KG w/ Area 21.  I'll be a little disappointed if they're all wearing normal suits tonight.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class
