Sully would have been a better choice at PF. But I get Ainge is keeping things fluid. Hopefully he can now bring real athletic big men to replace KO and Zelller and Amir because none of them are it.
Yeah, he is really helping Toronto, this year. What a bonehead move to let a guy go who has not played for his new team. Exactly, how would that help us? Do you magically think that his foot would not have go hurt here? That is funny say "hi" to Santa for me, will you?
I agree we need to ditch Amir and our bigs are a problem area. I think Ainge ought to bring in McHale to teach or help us draft a decent big. Ainge, himself seems incapable of drafting a starter level big. To me that includes Sully, who could not shoot a lick, was a one trick pony with rebounds and thought he was all world. KO is too soft.
I still think Horford was a good signing, he is a better upgrade in every category save rebounding over Sully. I do not share your enthusiasm over Yab. Zizic, I would like to see.
I agree that bringing back Sully would've been a bad move but this is not fair to him at all. He was an excellent mid range shooter for his position, a smart passer, and was able to defend centers despite his height. His problem was work ethic and health. You couldn't trust him. And yes, he never developed the 3 pointer we hoped he would but he did a lot more than just rebound.
