He literally is the second coming of Jason Kidd. Kidd destroys him in steals per game, a ridiculous 3.8 per game but look at how eerily similar their games are at the same age. Ball is the better shooter for sure.
There's a lot to like in this highlight reel. A few random observations:
Really nice passing. Decisive and on-target.
His shooting stroke is a little like Kevin Martin's: starts with the ball unusually low. That helps to get a good arc on the shot, but keeping the elbows tracking straight takes more. Martin's would have a weird corkscrew, but you can't argue with the results.
It's always an unpleasant surprise to watch college ball, where drivers can seemingly get to the rim with no resistance at all.
I guess I'd be a little concerned about his knees given his body structure.
I like him and think he's a good fit for Boston. But the Celtics need a top-ten player, and he's not that.
