Well, we've had our opportunities to come back. I bet we've blown four open corner threes in the last couple of minutes.

This is the type of game that makes you think irrational thoughts about tanking because losing on purpose is preferable to trying to win only to have the other team keep you at arm's length the whole time with execution and pure talent that is so obviously superior that it's insulting.

We don't need to tank because we have Nets picks.

This team just isn't all that good. They still have time to figure it out, but right now, we're pretty mediocre.

They're missing their best player and are facing an opponent that, even at full strength, is on a completely different level.

Can only except excuses for so long

I mean, the superior talent of the opponent isn't an excuse.  Just a fact.  The Celts aren't as good as the Spurs.  Not nearly.

We knew that, though.  It shouldn't be a surprise.

Pop chews out his bigs ....makes em play hard .....or he'll nail their hides .....that's why when other teams get his players they suck ......he is mean old fart

CBS .....talks about it

Well sometimes you have to acknowledge that screaming at your players won't fix poor rebounders. Olynyk, Zeller, Johnson, and even Horford aren't exactly good rebounders and we are a poor rebounding team because of it. Brad yelling at his players won't change that

That's true ...but washed up Lee goes there and plays pretty good ......he sucked sooooooo bad in Boston

Yeah, sometimes I think they should just forfeit certain games and save themselves (and us) the grief.

Seriously?? Don't see many threads like that up here anymore. We've seen this team with IT and without IT against the Spurs and seen how significantly he affects the team. We almost win the game in one and we were the Spurs play toys in the second

I mean, you can't dismiss our injury issues. We've legitimately had two All-Stars miss half of the season combined. That's significant.

However, it's clear that we have major holes that we have to fix. Danny is going to have to do something in the next couple of months to upgrade our big rotation, because we can't just keep on going like we are.

I said irrational.

As in, makes no sense.

That's not even the case here, though. Kawhi is obviously far, far superior to anyone on the Celtics. He's an elite, MVP-caliber guy, and that disparity should not be undersold. However, the Spurs only other elite talent was in street clothes. Who was the Spurs second most talented guy playing tonight, Danny Green? We're not getting out-talented; we're getting outplayed.
