This team just isn't all that good. They still have time to figure it out, but right now, we're pretty mediocre.

They're missing their best player and are facing an opponent that, even at full strength, is on a completely different level.

The Spurs are missing their second best player as well. Anyways, at full strength, we can't get to the rim, shoot, rebound, defend, or even out hustle anyone anymore. Seriously, what does this team do exceptionally well?
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Three bricked threes in a row. Sums up our offense this season.

Yeah, Boston ain't the Warriors. When will these guys (and the coaching staff?) learn that jacking up 30-40 threes a game is a bad strategy for most teams? And that taking it to the rack is the way to go?

Actually, taking more threes is correlated with winning, even if you're not the Warriors.

The outside shots need to create opportunities inside, though.  Just jacking shots only wins you the game on the occasional nights when your whole team is hot.

Well we need good 3 point shooters too to make it happen. Clearly Danny has neglected that and rebounding for years. These are also the two most important stats in basketball and often if you are leading in rebounds and shooting a good 3 point percentage you are winning the game.
We are just a very poorly built team that Brad is trying to piece together to grab wins.

Right. A bunch of threes without a complementary inside game isn't going to work often. But since Danny doesn't believe in bigs who can score inside or rebound ...

Except we rarely play that type of inside-out basketball, which drives me crazy. This team takes a lot of threes, and most of them are from other perimeter passes.

Well sometimes you have to acknowledge that screaming at your players won't fix poor rebounders. Olynyk, Zeller, Johnson, and even Horford aren't exactly good rebounders and we are a poor rebounding team because of it. Brad yelling at his players won't change that

The talent difference is huge. SA has a top 3 player.

This is the type of game that makes you think irrational thoughts about tanking because losing on purpose is preferable to trying to win only to have the other team keep you at arm's length the whole time with execution and pure talent that is so obviously superior that it's insulting.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
