Since Bradley and Thomas are up at the same time, the tab would probably be in the vicinity of $50 million/year for the pair. That's why I believe that one, or both, won't be Celtics before the end of their contacts. IMO you can't build a championship team by spending $50 million/year on your starting backcourt without either of them a top twenty player.

It's going to be very interesting to see what the Celtics do with their backcourt logjam moving forward.  If they keep the Brooklyn pick we could potentially draft a replacement for either one of those guys if the C's choose to go with a younger core.

These guys will definitely be getting AT LEAST 22-24M/Year deals. Question is who gives them the deals.

My Take: Keep IT and ONE of Smart/Bradley

BEFORE people rage at me for saying keep IT, notice how the C's can't get to the line that often in games AND they've struggled to score late in games without IT playing. Like it or not, dude is our best offensive player on the court and can score 26+ PPG. After that, it's Horford and Bradley at around 17-18...

We have their Bird Rights, so that's why I would do it. Good chance Hayward and Griffin stay with their current teams as well, so there may not be many FA options next summer anyways, unless you all are happy to settle on Ibaka/Noel.
