Doesnt it feel like AB has been in the league a lifetime now? 1990 born and only 26

He was not happy with what he was making last season... Like anything can be done now....

What about his next contract , what does it look like? Whatever AB gets you can be sure IT4 and camp will want equivalent if not a little more

$16M/4 years? Double his money from right now.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

there was report earlier this year out of Detroit that KCP was gonna demand 20 for 5 years.  Knowing that AB is better than KCP, I wouldn't be surprised in AB wants 5 years at 104M.  IMO don't know if he is worth paying him nearly triple what he makes now.  I'd rather have Rozier and Brown grown into those minutes if they reach AB's level in two years.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Something like 4 x 22 is what he'll probably get. I'd say we have to match as well as our own free agent/bird rights and helping the cap. He's too valuable.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

If he continues his current level of play through the rest of this season and next year, he's going to get $20 million per year or more.

AB is going to be the really tough decision for Ainge and crew, I think.  He's improved so much while on the team, and he's the longest tenured Celt.  But his injury history is not insignificant, and his size and reliance on lateral quickness means aging will be a concern.

On top of that, AB was an average starting shooting guard a year or so ago.  He's clearly better than that now, but I would wonder how long he can sustain that sort of production.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
