I was thinking about how our top 6 players (KO, Smart, AB, AH, IT and Crowder) every one except for Bradley has missed multiple games already. Has any other halfway decent team had luck this bad? I was thinking about this and it seems like no.
Cavs: Lebron, Irving, Love and TT all near perfect health, only injury Jr Smith
Clippers: Paul, Blake, Reddick, Deandre, Crawford, Rivers, all near perfect health.
Warriors: Big 4 and Iggy all near perfect health
Bulls: Rondo, Butler, Wade, Gibson, Lopez, Mirotic all near perfect health
Raptors: Valuncunias, Lowry, Derozen, Carroll all near perfect health (sully out but projected as a deeper bench guy)
Rockets: Harden, Gordon, Anderson, Ariza, Capela all near perfect health (Beverly missed some time)
Knicks: Carmelo, Porzingas, Rose, Noah, Jennings all near perfect health
Hornets: Walker, Batum, MCG, Zeller, Kaminsky etc all near perfect health
Pacers: Turner, Young, Teague, Ellis near perfect, PG missed 7 games.
Spurs: Aldridge, Leonard, Gasol all near perfect, Parker (34 years old) and Danny Green missed 8 games)
Thunder: Westbrook, Kanter, Adams, Oladipo, Roberson, Sabonis perfect health
For record keeping Horford missed 10, Crowder missed 7, KO 6, Smart and IT 3 (with IT probably missing more).
For the record I was trying to focus on the playoff contenders because I feel like some of the rebuilding teams (for example the 76ers) are not rushing people back (Noel, Simmons) or being overly cautious with sitting players (Okafor, Embiid) because their won loss record is not something they really care about.
I also would admit that the Mavs for example have had worse injury luck than us but they are also having really old players getting hurt (Dirk, Deron Williams, Bogut, Harris) that are not very surprising to see struggle with injuries (plus they were not supposed to be a serious playoff threat either way).
Edit: I could see a bit of an argument made for the Grizzlies but I don't think anyone can really be surprised that a 35 year old Randolph, 34 year old Tony Allen or knee made of spagetti Parsons are not ready to go every night. I will admit they got a bad injury break with Conley who is younger and usually durable.
