Capologist's Welcomed. If we decline Zeller, Amir, Jonas, and Olynyk signs elsewhere. Is there enough Money for Noels big contract plus a 1 and 1 deal for Gibson.

If so that could be a great look for our team next year. And we could draft a stud big man like Giles or Bam.

What a transformation that would make in one years time.

 Noel, Harry Giles, Zizic
 Horford Gibson Yabu
 Crowder Brown
 Bradley Rozier
 Thomas Smart

Taj Gibson is now 31 years old, but he having a career year and he's literally the  perfect PF off the bench for the next two years for this CV team.  12 ppg and 8 RPG on .547 fg%. Very good defender.

Noel has similar number as Gibson at 11 ppg and 8 RPG but also gives you 2 apg 2 apg and 1.5 bpg and he's only 21 years old.

Noel+ Horford would be a great pairing.

Don't like it.

I don't want the Celtics to spend the big contract on Noel and draft he probable replacement the same year.  I also think it would take an overpayment to get Noel.

I think Noel will be too costly for too little offensive production (we don't have the offense in the front court to forego a center with some offensive skills) and Gibson on the backside of his career and a bench guy to boot.  would also likely cost more than he'd be worth to us.   neither of these guys would put us over the top in terms of getting to be a contender

That team is going nowhere. And Harry Giles will get injured. What kind of team is that?

No one knows who is getting injured, when, and where. Harry Giles has had injuries in the past, but it's impossible for us to have a solid understanding of his likelihood of re-injury. Unless you're 1) a doctor and 2) Harry Giles' doctor.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

So are you saying he isn't injury prone?

And there is no offense on his dream scenario by the way. And Taj Gibson is pretty old. Seems like a pretty garbage team to me. We can compete with Toronto though so Yay!

Honestly Noel is too limited offensively to be any more than a role player.  I'd prefer we go all-in for Blake Griffin.  He's an impact player who would actually move the needle for our championship hopes.  Then in the draft you take the best available player with star potential.

The only players I could see us trade for are probably PG13 or some other as yet unidentified star who is made available.

Why split your free agent money between Noel and Taj when you can spend it all on 1 player who could make a huge difference in competing?

My backup option is Gordon Hayward because he simply lights up the lamp, and he could be the perfect fit in Brad's system.

Someone will offer Gibson a way better deal than you're talking about.

Trevor Booker is just a hair behind Gibson on defensive RPM this year and Booker is a better rebounder AND he can be had for a LOT less via a trade IMHO!!
