If this is what they demand would you make the deal for the best Center in the League.

 Cousins
 Horford
 Crowder
 Bradley
 Thomas

If you take out Smart and put in KO or Mickey or someone like that it's a fair trade. If you keep it as is it's an overpay on what was already a steep price

Voted yes.  I'd love to leave Smart out, but doubtful Sac goes for it since Jaylen is far from a "sure thing" at this point.

Assuming the trade is available now (not a 1 year rental), I'd make the trade but I'd rather adjust it to not include Smart.  The Kings would definitely want the 2017 Nets pick rather than the 2018 pick.

We have to give someone valuable. I dont understand how you guys otherwise think we get Boogie.
Smart Crowder or AB - one will go I'm sure. I just pray it's 1, not 2.

we get Cousins and keep what is likely our best asset.  Sign me up.

Keep Smart in and take Brown out and I would do it.

I'd prefer Nets pick + Smart + future #1, but I'd probably do this.

I'd want to keep Brown or Smart, not give up both.  Also, losing Amir hurts the front court depth that we're trying to improve.  They have centers already, would rather give up someone else of moderate talent from another position.  JJ perhaps.

Hurts to lose Smart, Jaylen and the 2018 Nets pick but there is enough talent leftover to make it work. Rozier and Olynyk off the bench. Need a backup wing and the team is ready to compete for a Championship.

I'm sure if Boston added the 2017 pick it could keep one of those guys, but acquiring a franchise changing player will require 3 prime assets.  Assuming teams still consider Smart a prime asset, Boston has 4 prime assets in Smart, Brown, BOS/BKN 2017, and BKN 2018.  Pick the three you want to give up and that can give you Cousins, especially when he has more than 1.5 years left on his contract.

Thats a tough one... you got to think of what other teams can offer the Kings.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I would rather give up the 2017 nets pick+Rozier+Amir.
Kings will want the 17' pick anyway i think.

They cant have smart and Brown tho. One or the other
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Read that last line again. One more time.
