Not entirely, I still think the C's are another star away from being an "NBA Force", whether it's through trade, or the draft.
Yes, the tanking is over but the rebuild is not 100% complete, but we should be done by this summer (whether it's picking using the Nets pick or trading that pick for another star).
Teams never stay the same. Everything becomes a constant rebuild. Golden State basically rebuilt their team quite a bit. They added Durant and lost a lot of guys.
You are correct we probably need one more Danny chess move, unless this is about waiting a couple years for young players to figure it out.
I see Yabusele, Zizac, Nader, Jaylen Brown, Terry Rozier. Those guys are so young. Marcus Smart is still very young.
I am willing to be patient. I'd rather wait it out then possibly get fleeced for a Demarcus Cousins. Danny can wait for the next Durant and then pounce. Or it looks like Brooklyn might get us another top three pick. At least top eight, probably top five.
I think Danny's problem is he would have to give up too much to get the missing third of a Big Three. We have Horford, and Isaiah and Bradley add up to another with my thinking. Maybe Danny should trade for Noel. He could be the missing piece. Horford's solid for center defense, but he is like KG and can't do it alone. What Amir offers on defense is too similar to Horford imho. I don't like them starting together.
Crowder/Jaylen Brown is a great SF combo which can only improve. I believe in Jae Crowder. I think Brown is showing he is a raw rookie. I'd still let him back up Jae. Let him work through it.
Same with Terry. His shooting is amazing. I didn't see that coming.
Isaiah is the truth also. His name is biblical, as are his drives to the hoop and overall magnificence on offense. He is very special, as is Horford.
Bradley and Crowder are special.
Amir just turned 29? He is not carrying his weight if I must complain.
