KAT is an elite big man in the nba, maybe Top 3 with AD and Cousins. However, it seems that the Twolves are running their offense through Wiggins and Lavine most of the time. What gives? Is Thibs using KAT wrongly? KAT was supposed to be a breakout player this year, however it looks as if Thibs' system is holding him back. Thoughts?

Maybe he recycled his Chicago system.

That warriors game was hard to watch. They were going to KAT in the lowpost, but GSW was doubling hard and early, forcing risky skip passes to the weakside open man. Their defence recovers lighting fast. GSW were hedging all pick and rolls, and Rubio doesn't have IT's chops at attacking of the dribble. They need to trade Rubio now, and see what they have in Dunn. Or, would OKC consider a package of Dunn, Wiggins, Shabazz anda pick or two for Westbrook, and keep Rubio as 6th man?

Isn't this the same issue Thibs had with Chicago, and why we didn't really want Thibs here?

He's a fantastic coach, don't get me wrong, but he's a defensive minded coach who never really knew how to run offensive schemes that benefit offensive coordinated players.

Yeah, definitely holes.  He may figure it out, though.  Those guys are young, and focusing on defense at this stage could be good -- all are naturally offensively talented.

Think that Thibs will never be a great head coach. That sidekick role in Boston was a good place for him, should have stick to that.

The wolves need a point guard who can play make and score a little.  Lavine Wiggins towns is a great scoring trio but they need somebody running that show. Rubio isn't it.

They also have a really awful bench.

The defense is awful. KAT playing more like a young Chris Webber than Tim Duncan. Interested in his counting stats but not putting in enough work on defense. Dieng continuing to show the same flaws as previous seasons. KAT and Dieng a bad defensive combination. Need to get rid of Dieng for a true PF and put KAT at C and force KAT to take more responsibility as a defensive anchor and defensive leader.

Wiggins is a similar situation. Needs to step up and be more of a leader on the defensive end of the court. He is clearly capable - as is KAT. They both show flashes of defensive talent. Just not consistent effort.

LaVine continues to be a player with a lot of flash and little substance. Impressive scorer and athlete but fails to impact the game in other ways. A lousy defender. A lousy rebounder. Selfish mindset on offense. An individual who doesn't understand how to function within a team.

Then there is the rest of the wings. No defenders there. Nobody they can rely on for consistent minutes. They really need a Courtney Lee type to start next to Wiggins and another backup SF/SG to play behind Wiggins. To create more of a defensive mindset. To make them more solid and capable of playing through the ups and downs of games. Unlike now where the Wolves fall apart once a few things go wrong.

Towns is the only plus passer on the team outside of the PGs. Hard to build an offense based around passing and movement without more guys who can move the ball well.

The PGs are struggling. Dunn a rookie. He is not ready yet. Rubio's shooting struggles. Tyus Jones is a 3rd stringer masquerading a rotation player.

Basically, a whole lot of immaturity and bad depth around their young stars. Poor balance on their team that is not providing enough support or leadership (role models) for their young stars.

From the limited TWolve games I've seen, I think Lavine is the biggest problem there.  Tends to be ball dominant and selfish at times.  If you run the offense through him, you're gonna have some problems.

They already have that ON the roster and his name is Tyus Jones who is TWICE the playmaker as Dunn will EVER be!!!!!

They need to trade Dunn before the rest of the league figures out he IS a BUST!!!!!

You are WRONG on Tyus Jones.  Just watch and see, especially IF he is given the chance!!!

Nothing.  It's just hard to win on this league; especially with a young team still searching for Identity.
