Smart won this game for us. We were down 13 and he ROASTED the guys in the huddle. I could hear him over the broadcast going *expletive* this, *expletive* this. we're *expletive* better than this.

We came out of that huddle with a pulse and their lead evaporated as we went on a 19 and 0 run.

I don't even know what his stats are this game, but Smart gets the game ball.

TP. Woke the team up.
the fantasy basketball crow will cite 3-9 shooting and 6 turnovers and say Smart sucked.

This team shouldn't be being pushed around like that.

No offense but this board loses a lot of credibility when they criticize people who say these same things. Speaking of which i've had marcus on my fantasy squad since he was a rookie. Never thought he sucked.Never thought brad sucked either.  Even he  questioned the toughness of this team. People do that here people whine about it.

Big difference being correct in your criticisms too.  Most people can't back that up.

I'll take the win lol. We were lucky the Wolves went cold from deep. They had quite a few open looks.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Crowder sat most of the second half due to his ankle bothering him. Hopefully he sits against Brooklyn and rests it for San Antonio on Friday, and not even play then if he's not right.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

If you could use less pronouns I think it would be easier to figure out what you are saying.

what are "these thing"

what "people do that here" and what is that and what are people whining about .

I felt in my post that it was pretty obvious, I did not mean to completely disparage fantasy basketball. I also dont mean to discount counting stats. Marcus Smart clearly has a massive impact on the game outside his stats. If I didnt watch Celtics games Id see his turnover count and his continued inneficient shooting and chalk it up as a bad game.

In two months you can almost garauntee Marcus firing up a comeback, hitting a massive 3, locking down Wiggins, forcing a couple kee turnovers  today will all be dismissed and laughed away as bull**** arguments in Smarts favor.

Its clear that with every player numbers dont tell the whole story. Its especially so with Marcus Smart and it is frustrating to see him evaluated based nearly exclusively on fg% and ppg when that is clearly not the whole story of Marcus Smart.

I really hope it's an injury issue and not mental because he's been bad.

Okay....What are you even trying to say? That he's an all star? If so you're going to pay him the max?

I'm saying this board would have a lot more credibility cheering marcus for what he did had they not panned me the other day for basically doing the same thing.  People are insecure.  Instead of saying [dang] straight we need to play tougher and take it the hoop etc..  They were wrong.  They should s how some toughness and apoligize too.

Glad we got the win, Smart played well in his role, but Horford was clearly the reason we won this game. Nice game by Rozier.

Funny how people keep complaining about Amir. We had basically trash bigs last year and we were still good at defense. Would be surprised if people think Sullinger is that good. Even if Amir has declined, the signing of Horford should offset it.

So basically, effort is the issue.

Crowder saying his ankle was sore in the 2nd half (didn't play in the last 16 mins). He says he may not play on Wednesday. IMO, that would be wise. He's clearly not right and having Al back is enough.

Not sure where you pulled that from.

It's not too controversial so suggest Marcus smart is far more valuable than his counting stats

How much would he make on the open market today? That will tell you his value and you will answer the question of whether he is a role player. People act like being a role player is a smack to his face, yet Crowder is a role player...

Only reason people get upset is because he was drafted so high. I would be fine if he was picked 19th like Bradley. But he wasn't. So he has high expectations. It is what it is. He needs to improve on offense.
