I'll try to use a somewhat scientific method to estimate thise, using Ish Smith as my subjet.
In the last two seasons, Ish Smith has played a total of 90 games for the Pelicans, the Sixers and the Pistons.
In 40 games played for the Pelicans and Pistons he has averaged:
- 25.05 Minutes Per Game
- 9.1 Points Per Game
- 13.08 Points Per 36 Minutes
In 50 games played for the 76ers he averaged
- 32.44 Minutes Per Game (+29.5%)
- 14.66 Points Per Game (+61.1%)
- 16.27 Points Per 36 Minutes (+24.4%)
Since Rozier and Brown are both playing on a deep team where minutes are hard to get a hold off, I'll Ish Smith's minutes average in Philly (32 MPG) as an estimate of playing time.
So basically we calculate Point Per 32 minutes and then add 24.4% on top to simulate the increased touches that would potentially be there in Philly.
This gives me the following:
* Marcus Smart - 14.2 PPG
* Terry Rozier - 13.5 PPG
* Jaylen Brown - 16.3 PPG
Pretty darn close to what TrueFan has estimated above actually!
I'd say these are pretty modest numbers since Boston is a much deeper team then the Pelicans or the Pistons, so the opportunities would probably increase more for out guys (going from Boston to Philly) then for Ish Smith (going from NO / Detroit to Philly).
I actually think Rozier would benefit the most from a move to Philly production-wise, because out of the three he seems to be the one who is most shy about shooting the ball (seemingly trying a bit too hard to be seen as a team player among all the Celtics vets). I think that mentality would change if he was playing in Philly, where you pretty much have nothing to lose so he's probably have no hesitation taking shots.
On the other hand Brown and Smart already look pretty comfortable shooting the ball here, so I imagine their playing styles wouldn't change much in the move.
