I guess we are about to find out.  I've seen him ranked second overall as far as centers by media pundits.  I've also seem him completely out of the top 20.  Most rank Demarcus #1.  I guess if you like losing basketball.  Horford is pretty solid in a lot of areas and moves around I'll give him that.  Still question his toughness but he looks the part.

I want Boogie

Cause I'm about hanging the next banner .

That's the goal for me.

I also want Cousins...

BUT, we still won't be winning a championship with him this season.

Maybe 1-2 years at best.

Horford hit free agency at the right time.

Overall I think he is a really great player, but not one that takes over the game as an individual.  He is a very high end glue player who makes everyone else around him better.  Like I said he hit free agency at the right time and compared the other contracts handed out he is worth the max.

He can play interior defense and play guys out at the perimeter, grab a rebound and run the offense, score in the paint or hit the three, and makes plays to open up his teammates.

I like Horford and he seems to be well liked around the league.  Guys like that aren't easy to find.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
High level Starter/ Borderline star/ 3rd Tier Star

What he's been the majority of his career.

I just hope he plays every night and this wasn't a cameo.  He's past 30 this generation of players lacks those tough guys who do it every night. The hawks under horford were a team that just seemed to go through the motions as well.  I normally dont care how mu ch money these guys make but as salaries continue to rise and teams usually dont get the returns they pay for i hope he shows up most nights.   Not 1 in 10.

Even Jerome Moiso may have had one good game. Horford should be doing what he did tonight every night.

Tommy was talking about how his career was over at 30.  He had how many rings and playoff performances and had built a franchise.  If Al plays about 50 games a year and shows up occasionally in the playoffs the next 4 years I don't consider that really worth 100 mil.

About 18 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks against one of the better centers in the NBA good.

Nothing more annoying than anonymous internet tough guys questioning the toughness of an athlete laying it on the line.

He's an elite jack-of-all-trades-except-rebounding guy. And he even did that well tonight. Like a glue guy on steroids. I really like him here but I'd LOVE to have him as our 3rd best player instead of 1/2.

Yes, then we could talk contention.  But if Noel can be bought low, we could possibly compete for a trip to the conference finals.  If he's productive early enough, he could complement Al and maybe make his job easier defensively, allowing more freedom offensively.

The NBA is pretty weak at the center spot right now.

Cousins is clearly #1 - no debate about it.

Next thee are probably Drummond, Dwight Howard, Deandre Jordan and Whiteside.

After that probably Al Horford, Brook Lopez and Marc Gasol.

I'd say Horford is somewhere between top 5 and top 10.

P.s.
KAT is obviously on the list of you classify him as a center, but like AD I see him more as a natural PF.

He is a stretch center essentially, quite a bit more valuable than a traditional "rebound and post up" center. How many of those type of guys are out there right now that also play great defense? Cousins, KAT, Marc Gasol?, Porzingis. He seems like a top 3,4 center right now.
