Can't blame the staff. Why risk injury trying to win an unwinable game.  Maybe we should have just rested the starters tonight.

I kinda felt this way the whole time.   Letting Smart and IT get beat up was pointless.   In a game they could not win.   They barely beat Mavs .  Could not beat the Pels .

Too many games in the NBA season.  Players have no time to recover and play their best ball.
And yet the game was close at halftime even with uneven refereeing. This was at home and you try to steal a game while injured.

No. I disagree. The Celtics played all right for half a game, then folded. It was worth the try to win.

Why bother to play the season at all, its not like we are winning the championship, are we?
because we have a pick swap with Brooklyn this year and it's useless if we finish with a worst record than them.

Almost a statistical probability. Wasn't there a euro soccer team that won the title with like 1 million to 1 odds, though?

Leicester City.

I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

Yes Leicester City won the English Premiership last year in a fluke I think they are facing possible relegation this season. 8)

I think this is appropriate.  Part of the blame falls on Stevens -- the loss to DEN and the first quarter/loss to WASH was influenced a lot by lack of effort.  Ainge also left us with an anemic frontcourt, healthy or not.  Amir was unhealthy/old last year, he's just old now.  So someone speaking up is helpful; it may have been Crowder, had he been playing.  And Horford needs to get his old butt on the court, too.
Amir's is old? He is 29. This is getting to be a pretty demanding board if 29 is now considered old.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

This is his 12th season though, since he came out of high school. it's certainly a long time for him. lots of travel on that body

IT always wants to call people out when he is the first to try and score without passing or setting up players. From what I saw, after he sat the C's made a little run. Then he comes back in and they are trash again.

I like him as a player but not on the Cs. He is too short and we are already the shortest team in the NBA. Klay was just shooting over him like KD was shooting over AB.

Bench IT and trade for some rebounding Bigs. Or like Rondo sell high and trade IT. (Since I don't see them giving him a big contract later and next draft is meant to be full of PG's).

I could have been clearer in my post, but alldaboston is getting at what I was thinking.  Lots of wear and tear on his body, and he was always a guy that relied on his athleticism and physical play.  I remember noting in a game thread early last season that he didn't seem healthy -- had those ankle issues, recall seeing Brad mouth to him "Are you okay?" heading into a huddle -- and not sure he was ever at full health last year. I loved the guy in Detroit and appreciate him here too, but yeah his body seems to be declining.

"We went into panic mode for whatever reason"

This season is going on believably bad. Core fit you better get your butt back into the starting lineup. But I'm afraid our deficiencies are beyond that.

uhh are we sure he's not talking about his teammates?

the quote goes on to say that it was everyone, "coaching staff". and that he was mad he only played 27 minutes.

Stevens said Isaiah called him at 3am once the team got to Detroit and they talked. Stevens said he understood Thomas' frustration #Celtics

Danny is a genius.

Turner walks much like Ainge quit on Perkins years back.
Keep on trading Danny, you ain't made a bad move yet

You wanted us to keep Turner at his price tag? LOL

I agree with the lack of frontcourt depth. I honestly find it hard to believe that Zeller and Mickey are better than Zizic and Yabusele. I think we would have been better off bring them over this year and cutting both Young and Hunter. Or Mickey and Hunter.

But he's played a ton for a 29 year-old due to coming straight out of high school. I tend to agree with the idea that he's breaking down.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.
