After watching the Mavs game, I'm having doubts the Celtics can keep the game tonight from becoming a blowout in favor of GS.   If the C's win, it will take a lot better shooting % and a lot fewer turnovers.

Does anyone know when Horford and Crowder are projected to return to the lineup?

I'm having flashbacks to the Nuggets game this year.  Not optimistic about this one.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

They both could be back tonight.  I think crowder will be.  We are shorthanded regardless.  Might be a really tough game.  Brown needs to have a good scoring game imo.  Same with KO.  We need to get more well rounded scoring.  Even if Marcus has a big game.  We need more than IT and Bradley plus they need to put up numbers.  Play defense.

The advantage we have over golden state is how physical our wings are.  Plus we have Horford.  Isaiah can match  Curry. We need to outphysical them and stay with  Durant.  Watch screens for shooters.  Stay with Klay too.

I don't have much faith with Crowder and Horford out but any team can win any given night.   Horford and Crowder just back might not be fully up to speed either.  This is a tough game.

GS blew the raptors in toronto and only made it close in thw final 5 min.
The trick really is if the refs dont call Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ty fouls on AB and MS against KD and Steph then we might be able to stay close.
Jae will not play and i believe Horford is a gametime decision.
Hopefully its a close game .

Weird.  Crowder doesn't look good.  Horford is a gtd according to yahoo........  They have been out a long time.  Probably doesn't make much sense to bring both back here.  Horford playing would be a nice bonus though..

Both just announced out

Al Horford (concussion) and Jae Crowder (ankle) will not play against the Warriors in Friday.
This will be Horford's ninth game out with a concussion. The Celtics will stick with their same starting lineup of Isaiah Thomas, Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart, Amir Johnson and Kelly Olynyk tonight. Horford is still getting very close to a return, which could come this weekend. Olynyk should get a big amount of minutes as he looks to improve on his mini scoring slump.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Going to start needing an explanation from Horford soon, or I'm going to get pretty ticked off... I mean at least tell us what's going on...

Well, that sucks, but at least gives us a solid excuse for losing. I am already chalking this one up as a LOSS...maybe, they can surprise us all! Hooray!

Concussions are easily one of the most frustrating injuries to deal with, both for the player and us as fans accepting it.  Because I agree, 9 games now for one concussion that happened in practice seems a little excessive to me...especially when you keep hearing reports that he's been practicing and looking good.

But in today's world, concussions are taken extra seriously.  So we have no choice but to accept it and hope Al is okay.

Our team has a history of playing to the level of the opposition.

Close game tonight.

Ha.  We have nothing to lose this game really.  We are what 6-5 and if we lose we go to 6-6.  Horford is annoying though.

So much for us being the more physical team though.    Brown has to score 40.

One postiive is that KO and Smart get to start again.  Having Marcus particularly in the starting lineup is nice.   Brown will get some extra run.  Green did his job last game coming in, he could heat up but wouldn't put much faith in him.  Our starters need to score and play physical and stay out of foul trouble.
