Bradley is having an exceptional season so far and plays GREAT defense, and he did well to help us win tonight's game against Dallas. Crowder is on an absolute steal of a contract and is definitely a solid 6th-7th player on a championship contending team.

Klay Thompson is no doubt an exceptional player who can shoot well, but if you think about it for a bit, he really isn't worth that cost.

And I know the Warriors and Kerr turned down those rumors earlier, but it was still ridiculous seeing so many C's fans hearing the rumors and automatically saying "yes yes yes" to the proposed deal in the rumor.

Klay is good but for the life of me please...put him on Dallas and he will just do what Barnes is doin rt now. He aint worth it and certainly not for AB and a draft pick to boot..only dumbass Billy King will do such atrade.

I don't think the Celtics need any help in the backcourt. Heck, the backcourt is almost a different level team than the frontcourt except for Horford. The other 4s and 5s are strictly lottery level players.

Without Crowder and Horford, it's useless to predict anything for this team right now. They are simply a different team. Horford has to get on the court, or the season may well be lost.

Yeah but this isn't a trade idea if you read the post.

there is nothing in your initial post that wasn't discussed in the other Klay Thompson threads.

I guess, this was posted right after Bradley had that great game two night ago.

Klay was almost traded straight up for Kevin Love when he was in MIN. Klay is an amazing shooter and defender. I would make the deal for Jae and Bradley for him. Jae is highly overrated in my eyes. As in he is a great defender but offensively he can't shoot well and struggles creating his own shot as well.

You guys are all high....

I like Bradley, and I like the improvements and measures he's taken to impress everyone else, but I'm not convinced he's better than Klay... Also neither is Crowder... Who is so overrated on this board. Yes Crowder is a great 3 and D role player, but while his defense is great, when has he ever shut down anyone honestly? Every time I see him against PG13, Lebron, and Kawhi, it never really seems to end well for him.

You guys are talking about an perennial All-star on any team, that can shoot lights out, score in a lot of different ways, and is still Golden State's best perimeter defender... You guys talk about how he isn't anywhere near the defender Bradley is... But I disagree. He may not be as great on ball, but he's still a solid defender, and proved by guarding CP3, switching on Lebron, and always giving Westbrook issues.

Klay legit could score 20+ PPG on any team, and still have a solid 36-40% 3pt percentage with at least 4-7 3pt attempts per game...

Klay is going to go down in the NBA as one of the greatest shooters, and could be the best shooting duo of all time if him and Curry stay together. Which is why I scoff when you guys act as if this is such a bad trade.

Now I wouldn't include the 17th Brooklyn pick, but I don't think Ainge would agree to that anyways.

Now if it was Bradley, Crowder, maybe a late first round pick of ours, or a few second round picks as sweeteners, then yes I would do that any time..

Yeah, if I were Danny I seriously don't know if I would do that deal.

Bradley is looking like an All-Star this year and Crowder is a legit starting caliber, two way player.  Throw in the Brooklyn pick and that's a LOT to pay for Klay Thompson.

Don't get me wrong Klay is a very nice player, but thew rumours claimed we had a shot at Jimmy Butler and Danny turned it down because Chicago wanted a similar array of assets.  Personally, I don't believe Thompson is better then Butler.

Yay!  Glad to see a thread that mostly agrees with my opinion.  No, Avery is not better than  Klay, but I don't so that deal, just too much to give up, especially for a player who doesn't solve their biggest problems in the front court.  Plus the deal actually makes the frontcourt weaker.  Not sure about others, but I am not high.

Agree, it is clear our fanbase over values their assets.   This trade was absurd.
