Yep, I said it. Free James Young!

I think he's more engaged now and have a better grasp of Brad Steven's system. He's a very good rebounder for his position and better shooter than Jonas. He also have an improved awareness on the defensive end. I don't think we will lose much at this point by playing him over Jonas. Jerebko have shown little to nothing over the last 10 games.

I wouldn't mind trying this out. I actually wish we could have thought of it sooner. With Jae coming back soon, not sure if Young can get those minutes again. But, for now, what's there to lose? Jerebko literally hasn't done anything significant for us this season yet.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Jerebko did have some big quarters in the playoffs last season, though. Our frontcourt is also decimated, and even with Horford, it's clear we'll struggle to rebound and protect the rim.  Doubt we can comfortably rely on the health of KO or Amir, and with Jae and Al out... not good.  Obviously time to chase Boogie...

Jerebko has played like crap, but what keeps my faith in him is that he played like crap at the start of last year too.

I would also gamble on Young, but as his last chance.

I'd support this. I love Jerebko but he's looked like a completely different player than he was for us last year. He's been awful.

Jerebko was thrash last night. Mickey did well in his stint in the 1st half

Which is irrelevant now. He is shooting an abysmal 23% from 3 and just 33% FG this season. James Young also put up a more impressive pre-season than Jerebko.

Correction, James had one good game in three years.

Jerebko was thrash last night.

So was Young.  Young played 6 minutes and did not make any stat line impact.  Jonas was bad too, but he produced some stats.

I would rather see Brown get those minutes.

James Young had one good game a couple of games ago. That was perhaps his best game EVER. Other than game he has sucked not only this year but all of the previous two years. This is a team with a focus on winning. If you want to win, putting James Young in the game isn't the best thing to do. He is and will be, on this team, an end of the bench player that will only get minutes if the team has serious injury problems, which they currently do. There is no reason to free James Young but there is reason to include him and Zeller in a trade for a rotational caliber veteran, preferably a big man.

I think it's time to gamble to give all of Jerebko's minutes to Brown :D
