I'm not giving up James Young under any circumstances.

Seriously though just thinking about it he could add a new Dimension to our team.

 Lopez
 Horford
 Crowder
 Bradley
 Thomas

That's A-Team I think I could score consistently in the half-court in the playoffs.

You have to admit though it would add five games to our win total, and subtract 5 from theirs.

But you still aren't beating Cavs and you tie up cap space.

I wouldn't make any trade for Brook Lopez let alone giving up Rozier and a first rounder in the process.

I would absolutely do it, I think it makes us that much better and we still have the Nets pick we could trade or draft with.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

^This.

His salary and injury history are more than enough for me to say no.

The Nets plan on sitting him on one night of back to backs this season and in other spots where needed. That speaks volumes to me.

No thanks.

In terms of talent it's a plus for Boston, but it's doubtful that Brooke is on Boston's radar - minuscule assist %s, and, not so by the way, does not address the defensive rebounding crisis.

Brooklyn is not likely to value JJ's and AJ's expiring contracts.

I'd normally do this in a heartbeat. We need a better presence down low and Lopez provides that. He's pretty dangerous out to about 15 feet or so and I think he and Horford would work fine together. I've said in the past that I wouldn't be surprised to see a deal made like this (or even involving the Brooklyn 2018 pick).

I don't think a deal like this puts us over the top so there's something to be said for keeping your powder dry until the right one comes along.

But there is something that really concerns me about him this year. He's being rested on back-to-back nights. He's only playing about 25 mpg. His rebound numbers are really down this year (small sample size but still...). These are all signs that he's not healthy and perhaps his injury issues are really becoming chronic. He's shying away from contact. He's not playing much. If that's the case then I'd run, not walk, away from this deal.

So in my view it all depends on the doctors.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Rebounding is our biggest issue, and Brook Lopez would actually make us worse in that department.

No thanks.

The only downside of this trade is we lose flexibility this offseason. That and also, I feel like the modern NBA playstyle has sort of passed by Lopez's skill set. He can score but I assume it's hard to build a winner with a slow footed, poor rebounding big as one of your main cogs.

The basics of this trade are interesting, but 4 for 1s are not common for a reason.

How about Zeller, Johnson, Young, and the Memphis 1st for Bogdan and Lopez.
