even with horford and crowder back soon, will that make a difference in the effort of these guys? the heart of these guys?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I really believe it will. Jae will fire them up and Horford will help everything lol

Calling out a team for being lazy or lacking heart is a lazy analysis.  Lots of fans do that when they don't really know what the issue is.

This team most certainly has serious problems right now.  Rebounding is one.  A lack of size at almost every position is also an issue.  Are we in a funk?  Will it change much when horford and jae get back? I hope so but who knows.

But I hate it when fans automatically go to the lazy or heart card.

Things that are really starting to bother me:

1.  Our guards leaving their feet and making awful passes.
2.  The absolute refusal to box people out.  Hey, I understand that we are undersized but you cannot get a rebound if you are not boxing anyone out.  Second shots coming off offensive rebounds are killing us.  And can Amir secure a rebound?
3.  Our defense is atrocious.  Rotations suck.  We aren't challenging jump shots.  This is why subpar teams like the Nuggets and Wizards are torching us.
4.  Our free throw shooting is awful.
5.  Rozier has been a disaster.  Can't defend.  Game looks to fast for him.  He threw a ball off the backboard during a drive tonight that reminded me of my 7 year old son's hoop games.
6.  Can we stop fouling people?  The other team is in the bonus early every quarter.  Stop reaching g and move your Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.n feet.
7.  Green is useless.

Now, I'm sure that this team will correct itself when Al and Jae come back but the lack of defense and rebounding is absolutely alarming.

Crowder and Horford are two of their top 3 or 4 players. Both are out. We could use them.

Celtics aren't there yet- they still need some talent. I think most people realize that they aren't a legit title contender without another star or two.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

Sure, you'd be right. Except it's not just fans saying this.

The players themselves are saying it too!

They will pick it up but they still suck.  Its a pointless roster and has been for awhile.   They shouldn't have wasted the money on horford.

If the C's could stop letting players set career highs against them that would be nice.

Otto Porter, Emmanuel Mudiay, Justin Hamilton, and Joe Harris all set or matched their career high against the C's.  4 players from 3 different teams in 7 games, that's crazy.

Dwyane Wade having one his top 5 all time 3 point performances doesn't help either.

Do opposing players have the C's circled on their schedules or something? Good thing Kobe's retired or he'd probably be breaking Wilt's record when the C's come to town.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

I agree with alldaboston.  Wizards may be a better team right now than the Celts, on paper, with Crowder and Horford out.  But there's no excuse for a 34 to 8  first quarter between any 2 NBA teams unless one is completely dogging it.

Players go to the same card as fans.  Think about it.  It's not like they're going to say they aren't good enough.  They aren't team evaluators anyway.  They're always going to say, hey, I can play harder or better.

They are arguably our two best two-way players.  We have scrubs filling in for them right now (Zeller and Jaylen).  Yeah, it will make a massive difference.

And who do you think we shouldve spent the money on? Given that Horford is missing time when we are struggling, signing Horford is nowhere near the cause.
