oh man why has Jaylen only played 3 min?  or is this box score wrong?

He basically let Porter do what Mudiay did to us the other night. He was terrible, and he's a large part of why they're so hot right now.

So he started?  lol...oh man.  Rookie has  ways to go.  No shock there....

Well with all our 'depth' we should be able to pull the next guy up...ummm
yeah.

Yeah, and Brad was even thinking about switching him with Smart to keep our defense good from the start.

But I'm guessing we're going to see very little of Jaylen for awhile. I think he was one of the "soft" players that Brad was talking about.

Marcus is the only one who even seems to care.

Olynyk looks like he cares. I'm already seeing his impact on the court. He plays smart defense, has made the right moves, and genuinely looks motivated. I can't wait to see how he and Horford play together.

After this many years in the league, still doesn't know where his shots are.

He has to learn to take the shot right off the pass....without putting i on the floor first

He drove though the defense and took a shot right at the rim and an open three and missed them. Great looks. No idea what you're talking about.

One thing that is very clear is that we overachieved by a lot last year.  And I mean, a lot.

Sure Crowder and Horford are important but you take a look at what's left and it ain't much.  Two very undersized scrappy guards and that's pretty much it for the offense.  Nothing else at all.

I don't think we overachieved either of the last two years.  We look like this until mid December, then we go on huge win streaks.  It's just really frustrating while its happening.

For having three all-world perimeter defenders in Smart, Bradley, and Crowder, we have some real stinkers also in Rozier, Green, Brown, and IT.

IT can't stay in front of any PGs, on the pick & roll especially.

Yeah, I don't buy the overachieved narrative either. We just literally aren't playing with the same defensive intensity that we did last year. We just always look like the passive team, and they always look more aggressive. Having people out exacerbates that problem, but it's a problem that will need more fixing than just the guys coming back.

Nets and Celts about to have the same record.

There is a lot more work to do with this team than I expected.

Ugh.

~50 win pace for ~120 games is a sign that we did not "overachieve" we have been streaky for 2 years and when you are missing Crowder and Horford you can imagine we will be even streakier.

I thought a big advantage to having Horford would be that he would act as a stabilizing force who would prevent long streaks of bad play. Unfortunately he cant do that when hes sidelined with a concussion.

Ugh.

Not to rub salt, but the Nets are winning tonight against the knicks.  They would be 4-4 if that holds up.

OMG... Marcus gets the good block on Wall, and then our bigs can't freaking rebound and give up a three point play...
