I would rather pay Noel big dollars rather than Kelly. Maybe we could work in Yabusele instead, but if they insisted on Olynyk I'll still make the trade.

 Noel
 Horford
 Crowder
 Bradley
 Smart

Maybe we can get back to actually playing defense.

Pass. Too much uncertainty to cut our buying power next Summer on a player who is often injured and just had another surgery in the same ACL repaired knee, particularly when you consider your rationalization for doing it... it's doubtful KO sticks around unless we completely strike out. And if it gets to that, it won't matter much. It'll be back to making something happen via trade.

Big overpay. Rozier by himself is a fair trade for Noel.

I hope the people who voted yes, never become our GM.   KG, this is giving them the farm, I know your a C fan but this trade makes you look like a philly guy, which I know is not the case.

Rozier by himself isn't going to get you Noel.  Not sure why the Sixers would even want him.  Assuming Bayless doesn't need surgery, Rozier would be their 3rd sting PG.  In next year's draft, they'll be able to draft a better, younger PG.

I rate Noel highly but I rate Rozier highly too. I expect Rozier to be a two way starting PG and a 17+ppg scorer in the NBA. Noel a perennial DPOY candidate.

Bayless is irrelevant. He is a nothing player. Rozier will have surpassed him by midseason. Sergio Rodriguez is a legitimate PG but not a viable long term option. He is too slow and porous defensively to be their starting PG long term. He will make a highly capable offensive minded backup PG though.

Rozier should work well with Ben Simmons. They want Ben Simmons as a point-forward. Rozier is a scoring PG with limited playmaking skills. So Simmons should help Rozier's weaknesses and Rozier should provide added scoring & defense at PG.

In next year's draft, they could draft a PG. Or maybe a SF or PF. There is a few of them too.

Noel's trade value looks quite low at the moment because of his FA status. I think a mid first round pick is about what they can get for him which Rozier was. I think Rozier has shown good talent and potential thus far & both fills a position of a need and is relatively good value versus what other offers I expect Philly to get for Noel.

This is not even close to "the farm".  None of these guys are as good as Smart, for example, and certainly not Brown, much less Crowder, Horford, Thomas.

I have a lower trajectory for Rozier than most people.  He is a classic SG in a PG body.  He hasn't shown excellent defensive prowess or ball distribution.

Olynyk also projects (in my mind) as a decent rotation player, possible starter but he lacks rebounding and defense.  Maybe those things improve, maybe not.

Young is what he is:  A borderline NBA player (recall he almost got cut a week ago).

MEM pick will be middle of the round.

This is nothing like giving away the farm.

The current rumor is Joseph and a first. Your package is a lot more than that, why outbid the best offer by that much?
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

This. Either Kelly or Terry alone plus Young and a late first should be enough for Noel.

I think it is close. I would rather trade the Celtics '18 or '19 pick. Memphis could be a bad team in 2019.

Rozier and a pick should be enough. Young is just a throw in. Olynyk puts it over the top.  The deal with Olynyk is, if you bring in Noel and pay him, then Olynyk is less likely to be brought back. Would Danny really pay both guys over $10 mil per year?

Only Curry was better than Bayless last year as an outside shooter among PG's.  And Bayless was closer to Curry than anyone else was to Bayless.  He is still just 28.

I get it, a lot of us think Rozier can be a very good player, but his sample size is just so small you just can't know.  I mean is Rozier the 40% three point shooter of this year or the 22.2% three point shooter from last year, or the more likely somewhere in between.

Rozier isn't enough for Noel, but I voted no because I do think Rozier, Olynyk, and the Memphis 1st is too much.  Take Olynyk out of the trade, and I'm fine with it though would be prefer the 2018 Boston 1st (call it top 5 protected) instead of the Memphis 1st.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Won't happen. Noel is a bad fit. AND, by himself Olynyk is a better basketball player.

I agree about the rebounding, disagree about the defense. Also, I think that it's very unlikely that the rebounding will improve. At this point, no "maybe" about it, probably, or at best an incremental improvement.

Notice that Brad likes to use Kelly as the paint protector in a two/three zone at the end of quarters – even though he's no kind of shot blocker. He moves to the right spot, has great instincts, and as long as he's not exposed, he's a big asset on defense.

He's a rotation player on a contender. If you want to be a contender, you need rotation players, not just stars, and not just starters. He makes good decisions with the ball, plays very good team defense – though for sure he has limitations, such as post defense – and shoots over 40% from three, which puts him in elite company.

I think that Nerlens' team defense is very good, but it looks pretty unlikely that you could ever use him in the ball-movement type of offense which Boston runs, where all five guys are touching the ball. He has bad hands and suspect knees. Kelly is a much better, more well-rounded player – and a much better fit for Boston.

Pass.
