If Brad doesn't want a finesse team, maybe he should stop being a finesse coach.  If a coach says this stuff six games into a season, what in the world has HE been doing?

To an extent, that's also true. Brad has to be tougher on his guys, all season long.

But every team goes through a stretch like this, where they'll be seen as soft. I think we turn it around. This was a wake up call, and combined with Horford returning, it'll be alright .
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

How about coaching better instead of panicking.

You can say maybe he was searching for combos but those rotations and lack of staying the course was awful.

When personnel decisions like resigning Zeller instead of Sullinger are made, it's an embracing of finesse. 5 rebounds in 27 minutes... Zeller is softer than sponge cake. Even if Sully's lack of work ethic and attitude made him unwelcome, there are veteran FA out there that could've brought an edge to this team unlike Zeller. Where's Reggie Evans when you need him?

Yabusele and Zizic can't come any sooner.

You pretty much nailed the problem. Zeller has no business being in the starting lineup.

We need to make a trade at some point during the season. Hopefully Stevens can restrain himself until then or he will lose this team. I don't care if he has the Midas touch or whatever people say. No NBA player wants to be called soft in the press.

He had to have been talking mostly about IT. Just look at what Mudiay did. I like IT as a player, and he generally brings it - however there are nights where he just doesn't bring maximum effort and he can't be that kind of guy because of his limitations on D. Brad is gonna have to do a better job at hiding him, but it's alot harder to hide a player on the perimeter, as our interior D has been fine besides rebounding

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing trading IT while his value is so high. He's considered a premier player right now, we could get a really good interior player and another scorer by trading him. The only concern would be that IT is our only player who consistently gets to the rim, so wed have to replace that somehow.

Ainge and Stevens are to blame.  Been floating along with mediocrity now for 3 years.  Need to draft better and use the talent we have better.  Also sign somebody instead of eating freaking draft picks every year!

Crowder is a big loss for the team's defense. He seems to really set a tone for the team in terms of physical toughness and energy defensively.

His replacements are all bad defensive players. Jaylen Brown, Gerald Green, James Young.

Mudiay's scoring outburst was concerning but maybe we could be overacting.  Denver is not the typical team as they are very big, and you combine that with not having Crowder, Horford, and Kelly it's not good news for us.

This stuff was going on before the Denver today so it is not all Mudiay.

Sully is hurt for his new team, so we would be in the same boat.   Are you aware of this?  So how would him missing 2-3 months help us exactly?  I agree some of the other guys are soft but we are shooting well and Sullinger is already hurt and unreliable for his new team.

Jared Sullinger is expected to miss roughly the next 2-3 months of action as he recovers from foot surgery, according to Raptors' GM Masai Ujiri.

It's not only defense but as CBS said it's lack of toughness and it's should be on the Coach

the coach is kinda soft.... time for him to shelf the cool demeanor. and start lighting up some of these players.

The other issue is we have so many players on team friendly contracts that they probably do not want to jeopardize their looming pay day by getting injured.

Finally, the team played well last year when they played with a chip on their shoulders. It is clear that this year they feel entitled so it shows in their effort.

This team still needs to play with that chip on their shoulder, especially since no one is looking beyond them any more. In the NBA you only get to shock the league once.

We had Deyonta Davis on draft night, and we let him go.
Argh!
