2016-2017 New Orleans Pelicans (aka Anthony Davis) Thread

Anthony Davis will NOT be traded this season, even if the Pelicans finish the season 0-82..

BUT, it might be worth monitoring how their season plays out and how Davis both plays and feels about being on the Pelicans. Who knows, maybe Davis starts getting frustrated with the Pelicans and he becomes available a year or two from now (if the Pelicans do poorly next season as well)?

While I think this equally as silly as the cavs thread, I think the pelicans will get him help and not trade him. 76ers blog suggests trade inception. Noel for holiday back. Lol

Yeah but who knows. Pelicans are 0-7 and Davis is rightfully frustrated. Hypothetically this could be his last full year at New Orleans if he wants out and the Pelicans don't do much to help him on the offseason and draft.

Anthony Davis had 34 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks (!!!) against the Kings.

And the Pelicans took another L (0-8)

Without a second thought.  I'd expect Davis to cost more than that.  Simmons, Davis and Embiid would be an amazing young core.

I think they ask for Simmons + Embiid. Both guys have injury concerns, so I don't think the Pels can take any less than that.

Sixers would lose their 2 blue-chip prospects, and Davis would likely be just as unhappy there as in New Orleans.

It would be a tough pill to swallow, as there'd be a big risk that Davis jumps ship in three years.

No way would they get Simmons and Embiid.  Simmons doesn't have any more injury concerns than Davis does.  I'd think it would be Simmons plus a couple 1sts.

Amazing the Pelicans are 1-8 with Davis playing 38 minutes per game.

I mean... the 76ers are 1-5 with Embiid only playing 22 minutes per game.

Go figure.

But yeah, without Davis it's probably 126-59 loss haha
