Apparently, Jaylen doesn't like "The Poet" as a nickname given to him. What is the best nickname you can come up with?

Mine is "Mr. Throwback". His court appearance screams 90's, from the flat top hair cut to the short shorts. I can imagine the commentators saying "Mr. throwback with the throwback slam!"

I honestly don't mind something as simple as JB.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I like "OG" -- throwback hair, shorts, style of play.  Hopefully he'd appreciate it, too.

Go with what Kevin Harlan called him on the dunk against LBJ, "Fearless"

I'd like a nod to Dr J: Professor J.

Ahh you beat me to it haha, alternatively i thought of Jaylen 'Bobby' Brown as a nod to his love of chess and being 'different'

I like JB so far.  Nicknames seem to just happen.  Pierce's nickname the truth just came out of Shaqs mouth one day because of what P ierce did to them.  Marcus's Cobra nickname came because of a play he made.  If you try to force a nickname it's not time for it?

Old man is also good.  It's what his family calls him but that's more an inside thing.

It's good.  Usually nicknames have to catch fire though and people have to run with it though. Pierce with the truth people just ran with that in all sorts of ways.  I feel like old man his family and him have some personal connection with that. It's kind of difficult to catch fire though. It may grow on people with time though.  Brown is that kind of player anyways where he is just going to keep getting better with age imo.

It fits great though imo because people thought he was not ready and this and that and he is much more mature than people realize.  Old man.

I think he sees himself and acts like an old man too.
