I am guessing it'll be mostly Jaylen? If so, I am excited to see how he holds his ground in extended minutes against the leagues best.

I am sure we'll see Smart and Bradley thrown at him during stretches. I hope Jerebko and Green stay farrrrrrrr away!

If it's Jaylen can we assume he fouls out in less than 20 minutes?

Smart primary if we are playing small ball - since Crowder might be out for at least a week

Jaylen and Jerebko might get a crack at him, which sucks, LeBron is gonna score 30 tonight lol

good test for Jaylen though, his first REAL test in the NBA is guarding arguably the best player in the world. I don't think it will be pretty but a good experience

Id say we start Jerebko and Smart, have Jerebko and Smart alternate on him+Brown in stretches.

TBH Im not against Brown guarding Lebron exclusively. Odds are so stacked against us its almost an expected loss anyway, might as well give Brown reps guarding elite players.

brown? the man who picked up 4 fouls in 8 minutes last night?  ;D

i am sure he will get some time covering lebron, but given that the refs often do not give rookies the benefit of the doubt, it will be quite the challenge for him.

my bet is defense by committee and smart may very well get most of those minutes.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Smart.

He manned up against Millsap who is almost the exact same size as LeBron (6'8", 250 pounds). You gotta give him the chance.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

I remember we tried playing Smart against KD last year. That didn't work because KD could just shoot over him. My guess is, Smart matches up better against LeBron because they're both more physical players, I think Marcus can handle LeBron better than he handled KD.

I think Jaylen isn't always locked in defensively, and even when he is, he's not assertive enough, strong enough, to really get in a guy's way and block him off. He often ends up fading away at the last second and the offensive player has a good look at the rim.

If we wanna have a better chance at winning the game, we play Smart on LBJ. If we want Jaylen to improve and develop, we play Jaylen on LBJ
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Zeller. Just kidding.

Undoubtedly Smart. He is a key player with Crowder out.

Feel free to keep underestimating him. I'll enjoy watching him shut down opposing players of all sizes.

It'll be Smart but I bet we give Jaylen some (very limited) cracks at him. Maybe some Jerebko too.

Smart's height problem is reduced by LeBron not being much for jumpshooting.
