It's hard not to smile when you see KG!
Brings back some of the great memories in Boston.
It's gonna get ruckus on the set!

"We got the cuss button, right here Chuck!"

This is awesome indeed! But i read that he's not gonna be on the set with them. Rather, he has his own place, where he will interview people and have special guests and stuff. I would rather see him on the set next to Shaq or Charles lol
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

KG is not eloquent enough or outspoken to be on the set.  Not that Shaq is, he's mostly a clown, but I can't see KG keeping up with Kenny Smith or Charles in the talking dept.

This is GREAT news.

I saw the commercial intro for this and wasn't quite sure that this was KG because he was just a silhouette.

Dude also looks like he's gained weight...enjoying that retirement already :)

Every time I'll see him on this show will bring back all sorts of memories of his time here in Green.

Kind of shocked he's going right on TV personally.

Well it looks like he's going to have his own segment. I don't think they are concerned with his eloquence.  I think they want his raw, honest, energy.

It was interesting about his comments about Towns' work ethic. Like the KG seal of endorsement.

I'm so excited for this.  TNT needs a guy like KG to give it to those guys.

Kg even in his broadcast career is a superstar with a roleplayers mentality.

Ha, the New York Post has an article bashing TNT's decision to bring in KG.

TNT’s Kevin Garnett hire an insult to viewers and the game

Quote
Turner TV has hired recently retired Kevin Garnett, one of the most vulgar, antisocial, bottom-feeding NBA players, to serve as a “Special NBA Contributor.” No doubt he’ll use his richly undeserved forum to distinguish for us good from bad, and what’s wrong with the world, sports and otherwise.

Garnett’s résumé as a professional lout is extensive. He has been involved in unprovoked highly personal, cruel and crude name-calling hassles with many players, including teammates. Joakim Noah, Carmelo Anthony and even the most gentlemanly of NBA gents, Tim Duncan, were among his selected targets.

Dallas forward Charlie Villanueva, afflicted with alopecia universalis, which causes full body hair loss, claims Garnett tried to provoke him by mocking him as looking “like a cancer patient.”

Nine times TNT’s newest hire was ejected from games — not disqualified with six fouls, but ejected for acting like a creep. Nine times.

But this is the bag we’re in; no better ideas, no sense of responsibility or accountability to the sports TV purchases and a fan base that’s presumed to prefer the malevolent.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Lol. It's not "an insult to the game" as the title says. Anyone who knows a lick about basketball knows you can't put KG and "insult to the game" in the same sentence. Sounds like a butthurt New Yorker who's trying to do a favor for the newly arrived Noah haha

Obviously the NY Post piece is over the top, but KG was a bully and an **** to pretty much everyone and pieces like this shouldn't come as a surprise.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner
