The poll was on Nba.com I believe. Let's see what CB thinks.

Lebron. He's the one player that can lift just about any team to the Finals.

5 years of Lebron is worth 10+ years of anybody else.

Curry would be the easiest to build a dominant team around, I think.  His shooting just makes everything easier.

Right now, considering current age of players, etc? I would go with Anthony Davis or Joel Embiid, with the edge to Embiid imo. He has that special something that will make him a top competitor on top of his natural talent.

I have always been a sucker for Anthony Davis, but understand that Towns is making it a more difficult decision.

Roy makes a very good point with Lebron. It would be a situation much like when KG came to the Cs - we would certainly have some top flight years, but it would end too quickly.

I think it really depends on who your supporting cast is - are you starting from scratch (rookies, minimum level free agents, etc) or can you put a team like the Cs around that player? Davis, if the former; Lebron, if the latter.

Is that special something not playing a real NBA game yet?

This is the right answer.

Let's see what you say about that a year from now. He's already shown in a few preseason games that he has grit and the high level of competitiveness and fearlessness to go along with his immense talent.

Current version of these players? or a young version of them?

I take current towns, but if we're talking the younger version of them with years of potential and improvement, i'm taking young lebron.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Towns hands down. Kid will be a special two-way force.

AD has shown to be too injury-prone for me.

Lebron is too old, and he's going to start slowing down any day now.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Curry would be the easiest to build a dominant team around, I think.  His shooting just makes everything easier.

But he's turning 29 early next year and has those ankle issues that could always flare up as he continues to age.

Towns is my choice and it's not even close.

This. I would've picked Anthony Davis over Towns but in 4 seasons he's never played 70 games. So I'd go Towns.
