Great article here today by Keith Smith ("Celtics pending roster options") in which he states

"Nader is reportedly signing a contract with the D-League, and Boston will look to acquire his D-League rights to have him play in Maine."

Since Nader is not an "affiliated player" (a player cut from Boston's training camp roster), just how do the C's go about getting Nader assigned to Maine?

The same way OKC did with Josh Huestis back in 2014 I imagine.

I dont recall there being problems when Huestis signed for the OKC Blue team. He just signed a contract.
Jack of all trades, master of none.

I'm fairly certain he will sign a contract after the D-league conducts its draft.
