Even if he's eligible to be brought over this year, would you? He's 19 years old and getting heavy minutes (and I assume solid coaching) in one of the best leagues in the world. I'm inclined to let him cook for another 1-2 years at least.

So, this is tough to pin down, but the level of play in the Adriatic League is considered to be ACC-ish. For Europe, it's second tier but it's still pretty good. Right now, Ante is probably getting about the same level of competition that our 2017 first rounder is gonna be getting in college.

Honestly, i'm fine with that. its a pretty solid league over there. he already looks more NBA ready than last season too.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Youre probably right but the team needs a rebounder and even if he's not ready this year we will probably still need a rebounder next year. Why not give him some reps in practice against our bigs?

Zizic and Yabu are not coming over this year.  To the OP, yes there are ways to make it happen but would require other roster moves that are not likely to yield good return.

As a Celtics fans living in Turkey and following European basketball closely, I hope we don't bring him in just yet. He is the jewel of his current team and they are focusing on him. If he were here, surely training standards and competition would go up, but he wouldn't get much focus development-wise. I think the best approach is to wait until he gets all the fundemental, mental maturity, and self-confidence he can before coming here and competing with established NBA players.

Bringing Zizic over so he can play half the year, or sit on the bench and practice with the team seems like an awful waste of one full year of a cheap rookie contract. No reason to start the free agent clock if he's not going to play a significant role.

Amen.  Same for Yabu.
