What I enjoy best about Smart is the type of player he turns into at the end of a close game. He plays with a frantic physical hunger to win. Its like a gear he goes into, where it seems like he's everywhere. During the playoffs last year against Atlanta the TV annalists saw it too...it was in their voices.

DJ was like that, a physically tough defender, not quite a pure point guard, a clever team player who could score when he had to, in clutch situations throughout his career.

If Smart stays on track, being compared to DJ is quite a compliment.

We'd be very very fortunate if Smart became DJ. DJ was a great player for the C's in a complimentary role but I think people forget how really good he was before he came to the C's.

Smart is a heck of a defender. If he could ever get his offensive game up to just par, he would be a very good player for the C's.

Well watching teh game last night Marcus looks like  he could easily start and lead this team and be a starting pg on a championship team and end up in the hall of fame.  He's now a back up though.

It was fun watching Marcus and Brown in the starting lineup while it lasted.  Glimpse of the future maybe.  I like our starters and Isaiah but something about those 2 is special to me.
