Or pretty close to that. They also have three out of the top five shooters in the league. How are you supposed to beat this team? Good luck.

they could legitimately have their entire starting 5 in the all star game. Zaza almost was voted in last year, while playing in Dallas. imagine all the bandwagon votes he will get now.

i really enjoyed their rise to the top over the past 2 seasons, but now i cant appreciate it any more. its all KD's fault lol
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I'm not really sure how good Thompson and Green really are.  I think they both have benefitted a great deal from playing with Curry and in that system.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they are bad or anything, I'm just not sure either of them is really a top 15 player (despite them appearing on the All NBA teams).

This is a fair point, but I think it's a moot one when you consider that they're playing with Curry. So even if you don't think they're inherently top 15 players, them playing in the NBA with a particular teammate makes them such.

I disagree with this premise entirely.  System makes a difference for stats, but I don't think it makes you a better player than you are.  I think Thompson, especially, and to a lesser extent Green, have better stats and get more attention because they play in Golden State with Curry (and now Durant), but I don't think they are top 15 players.  I certainly wouldn't take them in the top 15 if I was starting a franchise from scratch and only the first year mattered (so you can eliminate young guys who have a bright future but this year may not be this good).

Yep.  It's absurd, really.  Not just 4 top 15 players, but 4 top 15 players who can all shot 38-40% from three.

There will be a lot of 40-50 point leads for the Warriors this season.

Two key things, to start:

- They are both excellent shooters from three; Thompson is one of the best in the league.
- They are both excellent defenders capable of switching and covering multiple positions

Right there that gives them a baseline as two-way players with a lot of value.

Then you look at the fact that they are both decent playmakers who are capable of taking advantage of weaker defenders 1-on-1, and have shown the ability to "blow up" offensively in big games.  That gives them the ability to carry a large load when necessary.

Klay and Dray led the way during the playoffs when Curry was out last year, and they did not appear overmatched, even against solid opponents.

A team built around Klay and Dray with a solid supporting cast would win 50+ games and have a shot at getting past the first round.

Possibly, but that doesn't make them top 15 players.  I mean just think about it.

James
Curry
Durant
Davis
Cousins
Paul
Westbrook
George
Lillard
Leonard
Wall
Drummond
Irving
Harden
Anthony
Griffin
Butler
Aldridge

That is 18 players right there.  That doesn't even include Millsap, Towns, Gasol, Lowry, Love, DeRozan, Hayward, Horford, etc. who you could make an argument for.

They are good players no question, but I wouldn't put either in the top 15 in the NBA.

Didn't we look into it and find that no team in history has had 4 all-NBA players on the same team at once ?

I think after about title 7, people are going to grow tired of the golden state Globetrotters

Just like we were tired of the Heat after those 4 titles they won with LBJ/Wade/Bosh.

Klay and Dray are legit all star level, but debatable top 15. The way they fit into that team is like top 15 though.

I agree that system doesn't actually make someone a better player.  But a system can hide a player's weaknesses and accentuate his strengths, which _effectively_ results in him being a better player.   Which is all that matters when it comes to playing against them as a team.
