No. He's a word that rymes with Ditch, Snitch, and Witch. This is not even a Homer thread. It would have been good for the leauge to have two super teams in the east, the Celtics and the Cavs.

For the First time in NBA history,  two different MVPs have ever been on the same team under 30 years old.

It literally made me feel ill and cringe to see him come out with Curry, Green, and Thompson.

It will be a relative cakewalk through the Finals for his first ring, but he's a soft weak minded individual And I'm actually glad he's not a Celtic.

I would have taken him obviously, but I already knew his true character. Soft, not a leader, weak minded. There should be some type of asterisk with this ring.

In the words of the late 50 cent, Durant: "You's a pop tart, sweetheart, you soft in the middle." GS will wreak havoc on the league for years to come, but whatever... this generation of players lack the intensity and competitiveness that was so awesome about the 90s -- arguably the best era in NBA history.

I don't share your feelings about Durant.

Having lived in the Bay Area for some 10 years, I can say that the championship drought (since 1975) was not only a long one but particularly miserable for the fans, who had to endure serial mediocre and sub-mediocre teams. They're some of the best fans in the league, and it is an unbelievably cool experience at Oracle.

They were supposed to cakewalk last year, weren't they?

Super teams never seem to fulfill their promise, do they?

This is GREAT for the NBA.

Don't worry, Boston fans, your time is coming.

Get off this and all hate trains, nothing good comes of it - and the worst comes to the hater. Just sayin.

Tp's to Tarheels, LB, and the other guy.

Oh yes, and the team also has a Finals MVP that hasn't even been mentioned, in Andre Iggy. Real cool NBA. Real cool.

man, KD is a wimp. i was at my favorite barber shop the other day, there was a magazine of SI on the table with kd on the cover in his new jersey. i flipped it over and put 5 other magazines on top of it. hate the guy now
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Asterisks are for losers.  I'm as salty as anyone about KD not joining the Celtics, but the guy legitimately joined another team and the season hasn't already started and you are already placing an asterisk to his non-existent ring?

I'm a fan of THIS Celtics team. I started paying attention to Boston the year before last - a team that's so young that also plays great team defense is a rare thing indeed.

I love the game, especially when it's played with leadership and shared sacrifice, and my loyalty is to teams that show those things.

As Don Nelson said about those old Celtics: "We ran on offense and worked like hell on defense."  You could describe the current team the same way.

And thanks for the TP...!
