Don't they have Sergio Rodriguez at PG? They also have Bayless. I don't expect Stauskas to play much pg if any at all for them.

Guy was the 8th pick in 2014 by Sacramento, but don't blame them.  Virtually everyone had Stauskus rated as a lottery pick and way ahead of several players who've turned out a whole lot better.

Rollie, you might want to consider adding links and/or quotes like you just did above to differentiate between opinion and facts. Initially, I thought you were speculating.

Poor man's Jimmer Fredette.   ;D

I remember when some folks at CB - the usual suspects - thought he would be a great addition to the Celtics.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

I admit to being someone who liked him a lot. For a (short) while I even considered taking him at 6th...

I probably wouldn't be a good GM. But hey, I don't try to be one.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Let me move the goalposts a bit.  ;D

I don't mind that people thought he might be a good pick out of college. That happens all the time. Hell, I was exited about James Young. Everyone has a beautiful carriage that turns into a pumpkin after draft night.

The ones I'm referring to are the ones who even after his incredibly dreadful rookie season still thought it would be a good idea to send 1st round picks over to acquire him. Those are the ones I'm referring to.

Lol at the pic. Well done.

I see what you mean though. Yeah I agree with you in that aspect.

I assume that Philly is trying him at PG? Is that the news?

I still think Stauskas *can* become an NBA player, and I felt Sacramento did him a disservice in essentially making him an off-ball shooter his first year.  He was a great shooter in college, but he was also a really good passer.

His biggest obstacle to making it is that his defense is still a real liability.  If he's going to run an offense and score, you can look away from that flaw a bit more.  If he's going to just be a catch-and-shoot guy from 3, you can't.

(Emphasis is on can -- I think the odds are against him, but I think letting him play on ball more will really help him get in a better offensive rhythm.  I'd trade him for either or both of Young and Hunter in a heartbeat if we had any minutes he had a chance at earning.)

I've only advocated for trading James Young for him.  And I still sort of do, as just posted.
