I don't see Sabonis or Poeltl as major upgrades over Kelly. He's older and more experienced so I pick KO.

I would take a bunch of guys in this draft over KO, including: the top 7 picks, Denzel Valentine, Malachi Richardson, and Dejounte Murray. Most of those teams would say no to that trade.

I'm not a complete KO hater- I just think that he's a role player, so I would most rather roll the dice on a player with Ou higher ceiling.

You may be overlooking the money aspect Green Baller, are you ready to pay Kelly 15 million or more per season next year.

And with Duncan gone I'm pretty sure the Spurs would trade Murray for Olynyk.
The Spurs need Murray a lot more than the Celtics do.

All of them. 4 years of cheap control vs 1 year.

Murray is a no-brainer. Poeltl and Sabonis are interesting because I dont think either are likely to ever be much better than Kelly, but again it all comes down to the 4 years vs 1 year dynamic. Chriss was the one dude I really didnt want coming into the draft, but if you believe he was in that 3-8 range of prospects (which for me was a 3-7 range) then you take the deal all day long. Ive got no [dang] idea what to think of Maker. Much like Bender, I dont feel comfortable evaluating the guy based on SL alone. Id take him last of the 4 if I took him at all. Id need to look into him more.

That's an aspect I overlooked, good point.

More like can we trade him for
Brice Johnson 25
Korkmaz 26
or
Labissiere 28

Why do you think Skal, who has one of the highest upsides in the draft?

I think the OP has too much expectation of return for KO. He is worth a mid to late 1st. He isn't near a top ten pick value. He has proven to not be reliable and only a minor role player plus he has just one year left.

In regards to Lab I basically looked at teams that could use KO that had a decent prospect selected after pick 23.

I really think KO and Rozier for Noel is the perfect trade for C's and 76ers. 76ers have no stretch big to pair with the slashing Simmons. And they need a scoring PG who can play off the ball that is Rozier. C's need a rebounder and paint defender. Forget the same division bias the teams could use this to generally improve and should make it happen.

I'm not even sure you could get a mid-late round first for him.  I think the starting point would be another veteran role-player on short years or possibly a future first that was protected.

Can anyone think of  another unathletic, shooting big who doesn't post up well, rebound, or block shots who's been traded for a first round pick in the last five years?  Channing Frye was essentially traded for a 2018 first rounder last year I think.
