what a surprise pick, almost like rozier
danny didn't want to lose this guy along with stash ability,
yabusele has that length to go along with bulk
in my view yabusele may turn out to be one of those guys that doesn't come around often-really rare
the mixture of strength, speed and even burst, lateral movement and a 7-2 wingspan and shoots the three-
danny has picked a good one
-this guy had no formal weight training played soccer and boxed-just watched his summer league again-

I like what I saw in Rozier during the playoffs, I was skeptical on how he can provide to a playoff team right away, but one thing that stood up the most was his rebounding. I want to see if he can improve on that in year 2.

Yabu on the other hand, I keep drawing comparisons to Draymond Green. I will be amazing if he can turn out to something like him in 2-3 years.

"Stash Ability" is troubling to me. It suggests a team drafting a certain player because he's easily stashed, rather than selecting the best player available. It comes from having too may draft selections in the first place, and nowhere to put them.

I hope a player with better ability, and higher upside wasn't skipped over because he not as "stashable."

Yabusele was drafted 12th I believe, in what was considered a decent draft, that's rather a high pick to be considered on stash ability. Frankly it was a surprise to many.

I guess it's fingers crossed in this instant.

still pretty high for the sole purpose of stashing.  Now maybe Ainge had Yabu in that range and he didn't reach for him, but it does seem like he reached to take him just so he could stash him, which is very problematic.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

It would definitely be high for just a stash, but Danny clearly sees something in him.  After all, he took him over Zizic (another stash candidate), and I don't think many people would have called Zizic a reach if we had taken him there
I'm bitter.

It may seem odd to stash a #16 pick, but Ainge had to use those draft picks, and now has rights to all those players (Yabu, Zizic, Jackson, Bentil, Nader).  Pretty remarkable, given that some of us were convinced that there would be a trade.

Rozier playing strictly garbage minutes bothered me last year. If there were no injuries I still think we'd have no idea that he COULD be pretty darn good.

Danny has collected a lot of scratch tickets.

$.05 James Young
$1 Hunter, Yabusele, Zizac, Mickey
$2 Rozier, Jerebko, Zeller, Green
$5 Olynyk, Bradley, Crowder,
$10 Amir, Thomas
$20 Horford, Brown, Smart, 2017 Brooklyn draft pick ?

I don't know if I missed anyone.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I think Danny hit like one of those, 'I won the poweball but so did 6 other people and we all get $333,000 and I'm buying a boat!' kind of lotto tickets with Terry Rozier

There was a trade! Remember, they went into the draft with eight picks.

Great footwork, shoots with range - great assets in a guy his size. Team defense leaves him completely clueless.

Has a chance to get to the big show, but doubtful with the Celtics.
