http://www.itechpost.com/articles/28354/20160909/nba-trade-rumors-celtics-lakers-offer-key-players-paul-george.htm

Meanwhile the Boston Celtics are rumored to activate its shopping mode and this time, to get a great deal in George. In getting Paul, they are eager to swap point guard Isaiah Thomas and small forward Jae Crowder.

They failed to have the top free agent Kevin Durant in their league as the young superstar decided to join the powerful roster of Golden State Warriors instead.

According to Sports Rageous, Pacers president Larry Bird will not consider any trade offer unless it will be a win- win scenario. He is always up for a superstar to superstar deal to ensure that his team has the potentials to be hailed as the champion.

This is further supported by Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders when asked if Paul will be moved to Lakers.

“Not sure where the trading Paul George thing came from, but was laughed off the phone when I asked a Pacers source if it was a consideration. The Pacers are absolutely not looking at moving Paul George, unless the deal returned Kevin Durant.”

Meh.  Just something to talk about.

Crap rumor fur sure, but let's take a look at our roster after anyway.

 Horford
 Amir
 Paul George
 Bradley
 Smart

Suddenly we need Rozier and Smart to step up big-time without the little guy, we might be better off not making this crap trade idea.

I'd do it. Only certain added picks would cause hesitation. No way on Earth we would get PG for only IT4 and Jae. People can say what they want but if PG was a Celtic, we wouldn't entertain that player swap.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I like the small ball lineup

 Horford
 Brown
 George
 Bradley
 Smart

They team could really play defense and score.

Reads like English is the author's third language. "Boston Celtics are rumored to activate its shopping mode"? What a bunch of horse hockey.

i would take PG over Durrant. I think he is the best two way player and i mean a 25 ppg all around scorer, good rebounder and decent passer , and he is just behind Kawi Leonard in regards of defense. This year might be a MVP type of a year for him.
but no way this trade would get accepted, PG is as good of a franchise building stone as any other player in the league.

IMO you never worry about roster adjustments when you can get a top 10 player. Having said that, this proposal is a nonstarter even if we added both Brooklyn picks.

There are a number of sources that you can find if you search Google News for "Celtics" or "NBA" that generate purely speculative articles every day about trade rumors, and I think this is part of a new trend of software generated, or software assisted news stories. Algorithms just digest large amounts of content and regurgitate stories. The only goal is to get clicks without spending any real money on reporting.

My guess is that a software program, or some very low paid writer who has no idea about what they are writing who that works in an article factory, wrote this story based on some kind of keyword analysis of web content.

I've even seen stories where they talk about a "rumor", which they've gotten from other clickbait sites, if you keep going from source to source, the original thought came via a forum discussion or a fan post or someone's twitter post dreams or whatever. Like, they are the most unsubstantiated articles ever lol
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.
