He's definitely not athletic. There is no strength, quickness, verticality, or speed.

He has above average length. But that's 80% of the league.
Lol 80% can't be above average.
I guess 80% could be above the average that gets measured at the combine

I assumed that comment meant that 80% of the league is 'longer' than the average population...and I would say it is even higher than that. In the NBA, the name of the game is 'potential', not about how good you already are (See: Rodney Hood).

actually, they can. for example, if you have 80 people who weigh 300 pounds, and 20 people who weigh 20 pounds, the average is 244 pounds for that group. hence, 80% of them are above average in weight.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Young is average athletically, but his length makes him look above average.

The only place I'd say he's weak athletically is moving laterally, but I'm not sure if it's a physical or mental thing that makes him looks so bad defensively.

Count me in the few who aren't willing to give up on Young just yet, I'd like to give him one more year.

He can't get by anyone going forward in a straight line either.

True, although I don't think there are 20 guys in the NBA with T Rex arms skewing the average other than KO

I'd go as far as to say he's a weak athlete.

One of the first things I noticed watching him was that it always seems like he's moving around in cement. Quite frankly, he's probably the worst athlete on the team. Even our bigs are fairly quick for their size.

I've never thought young looks anything remotely resembling athletic.

I feel his athletic ability is maybe Paul Pierce level at best - except Pierce was a lot stronger with much better body control and coordination.
