Please either state you buy or sell in the post, or just vote.

Dunn is a point guard, Thomas is a point guard, Smart is allegedly a point guard. Rozier is a PG.

Dunn may be the most natural point guard. He also looks huge on the court and a terror on defense, hay may be able to guard three positions with his size and length.

If we regret not taking someone in this draft it will be Dunn. He's injury prone but he's light years ahead of Brown.

Minus 1 TP for not saying buy or sell.

No way, nearly a month until preseason. If there was a consensus third best player in the draft it was Dunn. He may even have a better future than Ingram

Buy, Smart might not be the player Dunn is but he's close enough that the value of taking the less skilled but also less redundant Brown puts it over the top. Dunn is too similar to every other guard in the rotation and we would still have nothing developing behind Crowder.

Then there were the early reports that Dunn's camp didn't want him to be drafted by Boston. They later put out a statement claiming that those reports were false but IMO where there was smoke there was fire, doubt he would have had any interest coming to our crowded rotation. Jaylen wants to become a top player and do so spending the foreseeable future with Boston.

Wouldn't be hard to picture a world where Dunn would start demanding 1 of He, Smart, Bradley or Rosier were traded. Our logjam bursts and we have to move one of them for peanuts since every gm we deal with knows we aren't bargaining from a position of strength.

You'd do that for a top young recruit like John Wall when he came out but if Dunn is only a mild upgrade over Smart or Bradley you just burnt off 2 of some of your better assets (traded player and 2016 Brooklyn pick) for only a minor upgrade bordering on lateral.

There, I gave you one to replace it.  ;D

Yes Smartacus, but what if Dunn is a huge upgrade over Smart offensively which is very likely.

IMO it's a two man race for rookie of the year. Simmons and Dunn

But then it's not a question of Dunn over Smart it's a question of Dunn over Smart & Brown. It you drafted Dunn we wouldn't have Brown and potentially would eventually have to move on from Smart as well, Dunn is not good enough to justify taking him over Smart and Brown

I'm not even covinced that Dunn is a world's better prospect than Brown for that matter. Sure he looks far more NBA ready now but when he was Brown's age Dunn wasn't even considered top 20 prospect in his class. Dominating college as an upperclassmen and Summer League doesn't necessarily mean you can pencil him into the All Star game quite yet.

The games I saw of both of them last year in college, I was not that impressed with Brown or Dunn.   Bentil looked better in the games I watched Providence.  I realize the whole potential thing and Dunn has a lot of that but I think if we took him it would have been to deal him.

Sell. Dunn would've been a needed playmaking talent this year, is my guess. If he is legit, he would've been in line to take over for Isaiah when he leaves in free agency in two years after somebody offers him stupid money and years despite his age and height.

have to agree.  Saw Dunn a bit during his college career.  thought he was good, but I didn't understand the hype that was being heaped upon him.  personally, I saw it as the draft class must be fairly weak if Dunn was seriously considered in the running for the 3rd pick.

wish him a fine career but I think Brown will do fine and better fit in with the team's needs

I would also submit that 2017 plays into this. Admittedly, draft perceptions can change quite a bit in 10 months, but it sure looks like there are two, and possibly three superstar point guards available there that look like they may be far superior to Dunn.

Even when actual games start, Dunn will get more playing time because he is on a young team. it will take a while for brown to get significant minutes.

we might have to wait a while to compare the two.
