I think Jaylen  is the real deal but I think Brad keeps Crowder as the starter out of loyalty.

In other words, not till next season.

It'll be awhile
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

permanently? I agree with most posters probably 2 years or more

I can see Brown start in an event Crowder gets injured temporarily and when he returns, Brown goes back to bench. Unless Brown wows in year 1 immediately I don't see him being a perm starter yet

Id say its at least a season. However i could see based on match ups him getting run at the end of some close games.

I don't think it will be until his third year, unless we move Crowder for max level player and Brown is thrust into the starting job.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

As much as I like Crowder, we need the offense Brown can provide. When the offense becomes consistent, IMO Brown will start. Then we go from a 3rd or 4th option in Crowder to a 2nd or 3rd in Brown. Then the big question for me is how will the kid be on defense? That's the biggest variable although he is projecting well at this point.

Preseason is gonna be terrific

I put 2 years but I don't think Crowder will be traded. I think he just comes off the bench behind Brown.
2025 Fantasy Draft Philadelphia 76ers:
PG: Rajon Rondo '11-'12;  WestBrook; Wall
SG: James Harden '18-'19 Marcus Smart
SF: Andrei Kirilenko '05-'06; Peja Stojakovic
PF: Anthony Davis '17-'18;   Kevin Love, Griffin
C: Amare Stoudemire '04-'05;   Marcus Camby

Yes, out of loyalty to the rest of the team that wants to win.

I really like Jaylen Brown.  I think he's a multiple-time All-Star down the road.  But it's absurd to think the team would be better served by playing him 30-35 minutes a night.

And it won't hurt his development.  He's 19 going on 20.  If he stayed in college, he'd play about 950 minutes.  I expect he'll get near that many minutes against NBA competition.  There's no reason to expect to play a kid more than twice the amount he's ever played before, while at the same time taking a huge jump in competition.  Not on a team that doesn't have a high tolerance for mistakes this season.

Well that's it in a nutshell.

The roster is crowded with guys ahead of him and a goal of the ECF. The more he can contribute, the better.  If he develops quick, it's gravy.

I'm definitely concerned he'll ride the pine with Stevens history of not playing Rozier anything but garbage minutes, playing Sully over Olynyk, Phil pressey, putting smart in the corner. To me, Danny needs to lay down the law and YES risk losing Stevens if he pulls more stuff like this.

It's a matter of opinion I guess but I don't agree that Sully earned the minutes he got. He was a disgrace to the uniform and everyone else that worked hard in the off season and in season play.

And who doesn't like Gravy?

I'm predicting the kid is ahead of the curve.  He works hard enough  and has a passion for defense. He is intelligent  and that will allow CBS to put him in a position to contribute significantly by the 2nd half of this season.

He will play some minutes alongside Crowder in small ball lineups that will be helpful  in getting us to the ECF IMO.

I don't see the guys ahead of him except Crowder at this point.

And Danny boy, this guy ain't Sully by a localngshot

3 or 4 years = Jaylen is raw and long ways away from overtaking Crowder.
