as for the actual thread, i doubt danny lets him walk if they really think he is any good. james young is as good as gone - that leaves one more spot that would need to be freed up for abdel, and this is assuming he refuses to be stashed, which i think is far from certain.
i figure they work something out, especially if they really did have an agreement in place before the draft. if he messes around with the c's too much they could feasibly still sign him then make life difficult for him down the road. better for both sides if they do something amicably.
if there are no big trades and we do free up a second roster spot, first guy on the chopping block should be bentil. don't like his toughness or defense, he looks really inept. but his college performance was good enough we might be able to get a late second for him.
much rather have nader, he has a great NBA body, and seems to have the late-blooming skill to go with it. hopefully it translates to the big leagues.
