What would make a Celtic player a true Celtic?I think that would be the first question.I'd say:- selflesness- competitiveness- high basketball IQ- respect for the past Celtics and team achievements, history- and funny, not very athletic (very rarely great celts are high leapers or fast runners)
A lot of good suggestions in this thread. I'll add Klay Thompson. He shows up, does his job, plays good D, and doesn't draw a lot of attention to himself except when he's going off for 40 points.
I will take Vucevic in addition to the good suggestions already in the thread.Klay Thompson is the most professional GSW player. Does his job and does not get into the antics of the other superstars on that team.
he's retired, but what about Steve Nash?
I don't even know what this means. It appears we're just supposed to name either great players or gritty ones. Not sure what that has to do with being paid by the Celtics to play basketball instead of one of the other 29 franchises.

Not sure what that has to do with being paid by the Celtics to play basketball instead of one of the other 29 franchises. Not every great player otherwise you would have seen names like LeBron or Melo. There is a certain type of player that fits the Celtic mold. Celtic greats like Russell, Bird, McHale, Parish seem to have this all business approach to the game with no frills. They dominate huddle up during timeouts and get back to business when the whistle blows. Notice nobody has named Curry the reigning MVP, is he not a great player? He is, but he is no Celtic. I don't know what the guy that named Draymond Green is thinking. I don't see him as a Celtic at all. Too much of a showman. Anyway, that's my two cents.
