The classic big for smalls trade. Philly is still lacking in star power, but this trade makes their roster very deep at every position.

 Noel, Embiid
 Simmons, Saric
 Covington, Grant, Luwau
 Stuaskas, Hunter
 Rozier, Bayless

 Best Five

 Embiid
 Noel
 Simmons
 Covington
 Rozier

Also Young and Jackson. That's a deep roster that should be good with development, and If Simmons becomes a star.

For the Celtics, Okafor starts off coming off the bench as a needed scorer, he may finish games for us when we need scoring.

 Okafor
 Horford
 Crowder
 Bradley
 Thomas

 Really like that five.

This is pretty much the price I'm willing to pay. Besides, we have way too much unproven talent on this roster.

IT-Bradley-Crowder-Horford-Okafor

Smart-Brown-Olynyk are the main guys off the bench. Jerebko gets some playing time now and then.

Why would Philly ever do this? Trade a cost controlled 20 year old center for a bunch of back of the rotation type players? Rozier is the only semi legit prospect in that trade coming from the C's.

I also don't see the fit for the C's. They have a center in Al Horford.

I voted yes, but clearly there is no way Philly makes this trade.

Instead of Rozier I'd offer Philly a ham sandwich for Okafor.  That's really his worth - some scrubs and a ham sandwich.

Let's be realistic, nobody else is trumping that offer.  Philly needs to dump him because they've got too many mouths to feed so they need to shut up, swallow hard and accept the ham sandwich.

If that was the Celts would you do that, even with the logjam? I wouldn't and I don't think they would.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Big overpay. I'd do just the players or maybe the Hunter/Young/DJ and one future 1st.

I'm not sold on Okafor and Philly has to trade him and/or Noel with the makeup of their roster. I don't know what market value is for a center with off court troubles who can't rebound or play defense but Philly is likely going to have to accept less than that given the situation.
