It's really only do you think he will make a 3ppg scoring increase from last year. No even Turner so to avg another 1 apg should be easy.
He Avg 5.5 rpg last year. So that's almost a given.

If he can avg 15 ppg 5rpg 5 apg 2apg this year he's on his way to being special.

Lol, agreed (qnd hope so). Although Bayless is a chucker and it'll take Smart like 30 FGAs per game to reach 15 ppg.

I'd be much happier if Marcus averaged 10 ppg on 45% from the field than if he averaged 15 ppg on 35% from the field.

No. We added another premier scorer. Simply not enough opportunities for Marcus.

Again, I think Smart will give us about the same ppg next season, but on much improved shooting. Considering the Celts will have a 55+ win team in '16-17, that's still really exciting. A 22/23 year old defensive stud who averages 10-12 points on .475/.350/.750 for a legit contender is as promising if not more so than a 22/23 year old defensive stud who averages 15-17 ppg on. 400/.250/.675 shooting for a decent team.

He'd need more minutes. Not convinced he can do it off the bench. 15-5-5 (with 2spg) makes him a terrific fantasy option. I don't think he's there yet.

You do realize he went last year for

12ppg 5.5rpg 4 apg 2spg last year right? It's certainly not very far fetched.

Jk, TP back at ya. I do think he could be a 76er though and would be more likely to reach that line there

It depends.  If we trade him to OKC will will regret it.  Here he is probably 1 of the top 2 cogs off our bench with KO.  Jerebko, Brown and Rozier are also going to get minutes though. He may struggle to get 30 mpg. He's gotten about 26 or 27 mpg his first two years.   I think he should get 30 mpg this year.

You're quoting his per-36 stats, so it's a little flawed to argue he only needs a little to go.

That being said, I think he'll get close to this number, but not quite there. He's averaged 27 minutes both years, and that will probably go up to something like 30 this year. However, with Rozier and Brown both needing minutes this year, all of our guards will probably top out at 30 minutes to fully utilize our depth.

I think he'll easily make the rebounding and assist numbers without Turner there, but he'll fall short on the points. I've said elsewhere something like 13.5, 5, and 5 is a good goal for him with 34 3pfg% and 42fg%. I think those numbers are very attainable for him.

Your right, didn't even notice that. Yeah it's not happening then.
