if he is attempting a comeback, has he put down smoking pot?-do the celts need that kind of attention? how seductive is a 7 footer with 7-7 wingspan that led the league in blocked shots?
people drink and that cool for some, not me-i can't touch the stuff and haven't for 35 years
if this kid did his drug time and realizes, it just doesn't mix with playing ball -cool- but!! he has to be careful with the kids and celtics reputation-during my era there were some bad apples on the celtics bench, i know-and there was potential spillover-red started drafting mormans and a jewish kid from brookline for end of bench not ex stars at end of career
youngs, nose ring, hair and lazy attitude had me suspicious but that is not fair-
what is the leagues stance on recreational use of pot?-

First off, Rollie as always love the post. Even more, love the self awareness there at the end. You're a good man.

But, to Sanders, I'm all for this idea. I think if we could bring him in on an Amir like deal we could really benefit from the potential gain and limit potential loss. The position we are in is good but we most likely not competing this year. He helps us with that goal in the short term. If it doesn't work out, we still have our stashed guys and are still building to the future. I think it's a win win. I hope Danny feels the same way. The second unit with him at the 5 and KO at the 4!! Man, I'm loving me some of that defense and offense.

Next year I expect the CBA is probably going to be renegotiated, when both the players and the owners have the ability to opt out. If this renegotiation doesn't result in an end to marijuana testing I will be shocked.

I predict that Larry Sanders doesn't come back until the 2017-2018 year at which point he should be able to smoke freely as long as he has prescription.

If he wants to come back this year, I'd be surprised if he doesn't get suspended again.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If he really has clinical depression, as he claimed back then, then this would be the number one concern imo

he is a nice player to bet on, assuming he would agree to a cheap contract, like we did with ET two years ago.

I think some players might do better if they smoked just a little bit. Marijuana would have the opposite effect of alcohol. It could heighten their senses. It could help a guy relax and help his shooting percentage.

It might even help a guy like Sanders with psychological issues. It has medicinal qualities.

Alcohol is a depressant, so I would recommend players stay away from it. I know this is a sports board, but it's strange that the non-destructive, non-depressant marijuana was turned into something sinister with many lives ruined due to the now discredited mass incarceration, yet alcohol is very legal and sold all over the place. Of course there was prohibition and we know how that turned out.

I doubt marijuana has anything to do with any problems Larry Sanders is experiencing. Robert Parish enjoyed it and he was pretty good at hoops.
