he could work out in waltham with some of the celts and rookies, get involved with trainers, drills and excise regime-work on his 3 point shooting
and if allowed go to training camp and go back when the roster is finalized

Is he definitely playing in Europe next year?  Has there been an official announcement made?

No official moves have been made yet. Yabu isn't under contract with any foreign teams so he will need to sign a contract with a team before getting sent overseas. I expect once Danny is done with the roster, he will help Yabu find a team that will be good for his development.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think the team that will be best for his development is the Boston Celtics (and at times the Maine Red Claws).  I expect him to stay.

This is incorrect.  Yab signed a three-year deal with his French team last year.  He is under contract there for two more seasons, although my understanding is that he has a small buyout by Europeans standards, so it is easy to bring him over.

1) We expect Yabusele to develop into a good player

2) Good players generally deserve more than their rookie's salaries.

3) With the cap rising, FA are earning more than before, but not rookies.

4) Unless he is not playing a role next season, better keep him in Europe and save his rookie contract for later. His contract will be helpful later.

If we move players in a trade that does not include him, he should stay. Otherwise likely to go away for a year. Love his future with us. Love how he hustles back hard in transition. No prima Donna.

You are right, but due to his team being relegated no one expects him back there even if he doesn't stay in the NBA.

Yabusele's contract situation is interesting. Rouen bought his rights from Roanne last summer. He has a NBA out clause for this summer, and his team was relegated to Pro B, meaning a change of scenery is obviously coming

If he's not going to play for a French Second division club, does it really make sense for a bigger market European club to sign him, knowing he could be snatched up by the Celtics whenever they want him?

I see him on the 2016-2017 roster.

It looks like his team getting relegated made him a free agent, because he signed with the Shanghai Sharks for $1.5 MM. So I wasn't wrong.

On a side note, I wonder if he just decided on a team, or if Boston is announcing this now because they plan on using the extra cap space that him signing overseas would give them.

I think that's a smart move for him. Looks like Danny won't be making any trades to free up a roster slot for him.

Should be a step up in the quality of the competition, no? Good way for him to continue to play, develop, and get paid.

Yup, makes more sense for the team for him to come over next season.  Would be surprised if Danny hasn't cleared space for him, Zizic and whoever we get with the Nets pick by the next draft --> expect Young, Hunter, Mickey and JJ to be playing elsewhere barring someone stepping up like Rozier has done this summer.

While Yab going to China could be used to create more cap room, it doesn't have to.  The Chinese league ends normally in late February or early March, so if Ainge keeps his cap hold, he could come over after the trade deadline if Boston creates roster room by then.

That isn't what I'd expect to happen, but until Boston uses that cap space in a different way, it's possible.
