And Westbrook is not self aware, you read between the lines here and very tell me if this is not a backhanded comment directed at Westbrook.

From ESPN, " We don't have any selfish players on the team. That's the thing: I think everybody expects us to play selfish, but guys want to go out there and win and just play the right way"

I think One selfish player and a chance to beat that selfish player drove him to the Warrior's to form the latest super team.

It's funny that we may be a superteam for him to join if we land Boogie or Blake and we have to decide if we even want his selfish but talented behind.

westbrook is basically a more athletic rondo if he controlled the ball more and shot more.

He is a ball dominant point guard but I do think it's how he's most effective. They were up 3-1 playing this way. But I actually think if he came here you'd have to play that way at least a lot of the time and that's probably hard to turn on and off. I actually see Stevens potentially not willing to change causing a problem.

Westbrook may in fact be a sellfish basketball player but at this stage in his career I do not think that really is an issue. He is so dominate over his opposing PG that in most cases he has every right to be.

Attitude wise perhaps but Westbrook has a lot more game and talent than Rondo.

Durant left because he wanted to win titles and Golden State provided him the best opportunity to do that.  Anything else you hear is just spin.

Maybe Westbrook was selfish because Durant was too passive and was afraid to step up at crunch time, so someone had to do it?

EVERY superstar is [dang] selfish.

Durant should have been MORE selfish. Instead he let Westbrook jack up more shots than himself.

I hope we get Westbrook because he's a stud...easily a top 5 player and MVP candidate.

Durant had 1.1 more FGA than Westbrook this past season (it was down to 0.8 more in the playoffs).

Yes, Westbrook is a selfish ball hog. And Durant knew he'd never win there.
Peace through Tyranny

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.

Lol, what..?

A more athletic rondo that isn't afraid of contact, and actually relishes it while getting to the line 2x as more?

Yeah I'll take that. Plus Westbrook has definitely learned how to take better shots, and has a knack for getting really easy passes out to bigs. He's a dominant PG, and is easily in my top 3, Curry, Westbrook, and Paul.

And Kevin Durant hasn't explicitly said this as of yet, so why are you guys all assuming this is true?

I would not be surprised with Ainge having a fascination for Westbrook the same he had one for Iverson 10-11 years ago. Almost got him. Would have been a huge mistake then. Would be now.
